why cant be average speed double of one way speed for example suppose A went from city P to city Q at a speed of 40km /hr and returns with some speed , then why cant his average speed be 80km/hr . NEED EXPLANATION ASAP

I have a doubt in venn diagram questions. Consider this part of a question on venn diagrams :
