  The reduction in the length of cloth that a weaver will weave on a day is directly proportional to the square root of the number of days for which he has already worked since his last break (i.e., day off from work). If the only break that the weaver took in the month of August was on 1st of August and the length of cloth that he wove on the 18th and the 27th of August was 14 m and 10 m respectively, find the length of cloth (in m) that he wove on the 2nd of August.

My attempts in QA are not increasing. While analysation i can solve almost every  question. It is issue of time that i am facing. Last time also when i gave CAT , Qa ruined me. Please if someone could give sincere advice.... my marks in qa are generally in range 45-55 in moderate level mock. Suggestions needed...

A country wanted to select four mixed-doubles tennis teams for the upcoming Rio Olympics from 6 female players and 6 male players available for selection. If the selection panel chose the players at random, then in how many ways they could have done that? (A mixed doubles tennis team comprises one male and one female player)


Please explain the flaw in this approach-

First team can be made in 6C1 x 6C1 ways.

Second team can be made in 5C1 X 5C1 ways

Third team- 4C1 X 4C1 and Fourth team - 3C1 X 3C1

Total ways 36x25x16x9 = 129600

 The sets Qp are defined as {p, p + 1, p + 2, p + 3, p + 4, p + 5, p + 6}, where p = 1, 2, 3 . . . . . 100. How many of these sets contain a multiple of 11? 


Approach?

A potter makes more than 100 but less than 300 pots and arranges them in row, with each row consisting of same number of pots, for drying. he finds that if he places 6 pots more per row, he can arrange the pots in 10 less row. how many pots does potter make? 


Options:

A) 180           B) 120         C) 164        D) 225

 The germination of seeds is estimated by a probability of 0.8. What is the probability that out of five seeds sown at least four will germinate?    

I got an answer using Bayes and it was really calculation intensive. BETTER APPROACH
