What is the number of ways in which a team of 3 members can be selected from 4 boys and 6 girls such that there is at least one boy and at least one girl in the team?
My solution is that first select 1 boy (4C1) and select 1 girl (6C1) and then out of the remaining 8, select 1 (8C1). So, 4*6*8. But in the answer they have done it taking cases and the answer is half of that, i.e 96. Can somebody please explain the flaw in my logic? (not solution)
