A rational number A/B, where A and B are co-prime, is converted into a decimal number. If both A and
B are less than 100, then for how many values of B will A/B always be a terminating decimal?
Solution:
If A/B is always a terminating decimal, then B can
either be 1 or can have only two prime factors i.e. 2
and 5. The possible values of B are 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16,
20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 64 and 80, i.e. 14 values in all
There are 3 runners with respective speeds 10 kmph,20 kmph and 30 kmph. They are running from P to Q( all are initially at P). The distance between P and Q is 10 km. How many times will they meet at either P or Q if they run for 12 hours continuously?
The digits of the number N are added to get another number. Then the digits of the number obtained
are added to get yet another number. The process is repeated till a single digit number is obtained.
What is that single digit number?
Two persons, A and B, simultaneously started running, from the same point, around a circular track, in the same direction, and met each other for the first time after 15 mins from the start, during which time B had completed exactly five laps. Instead, if they had moved in opposite directions, after how many minutes from the start would their 11th meeting have taken place, given that the speed of A is more than the speed of B?

If the sum of the roots and the sum of the squares of the rootsof the quadratic eqn ax^2 + bx + c = 0, are -5 and 13, what are the values of a,b,c.
Options: a) 1,2,3
b) 1,5,6
c) 1,-5,6
d) more than 1 soln exists.
Clearly B is the answer(out of A,B,C) as A or C do not satisfy the conditions. But D is correct in a universal sense.
I remember having seen questions where the option D might mean more than 1 solution exists (but only out of A,B,C) and hence answer will be B. Here the case is different and answer was D.
