Does SOP matters a lot for getting a call from IIT D and M ? Do I really need to write something extraordinary and unique or a mediocre answer will do ??

I wish to pursue MBA in finance. But I messed up CAT this year so I have calls only from NMIMS and XLRI HRM.

So should I pursue it or try for cat next year?

I have bad acads and I am a GEM so IIMs are impossible for me.

I stay in Kolkata. GEM. 1yr exp. 95/82/71 in 10th/12th/btech. I am going to need education loan for financing my MBA. Is NMIMS a good option for me ? Heard that its excessively costly and placements are very inflated. Also I have a 98.49 in CAT and calls from SIBM Pune and SCMHRD.

Why do colleges as JBIMS, XIMB etc have state quota based reservation and Why do Delhi colleges as DU, FMS don't? Isn't it unfair to all India students.
