Shall I opt for any B-School this year ? I have got a placement but it will start from july onwards so that will mean I won't be having 6 months experience by the time CAT happens. 

I didn't prepared for CAT at all and gave it just for the sake of it. lady luck has been on my side I guess. I don't know if I will be able to repeat the same marks or better in the CAT exams. I want to continue studying as well. The idea of doing a job and then coming back to academics is something that I am not much comfortable with. 


What do you guys suggest ? I have got a CAP call and filles IIT kanpur and roorkee, that's it. Having no idea about the colleges and their criterias made me late for most of the colleges. Your insights will be highly highly appreciated.

Approximating values while calculating percentage changes


 At times, in certain types of data interpretation questions that usually get asked in aptitude examinations, some techniques are employed to cut time on calculation and get a near perfect answer. One such technique is used in my book. Please find its screenshot below. 


Please read the Application 2 part of the page. PCG stands for percentage change graphic. It’s just a fancy name used by the author for the particular arrow diagram he uses to show percentage change. Now read the part marked with red ink. This part is not clear. Also, the author has written that he has elaborated more on it in ‘Ratio and Proportions’ chapter but there is not even a mention of this in that particular chapter. 


Could anyone please explain clearly how such approximations are used?

Is a work ex of less than 12 months futile? Or a work ex of around 9 months is considered of same level.. Asking coz want to leave the job this year and prepare for CAT. Please suggest. Working in a big 4) and have very good acads commerce background. TIA
