This is a generic post with respect to General Male Engineer's plight in shortlisting who have are marginalized by IIM A / B / L - because of various factors like lower CPI because of relative grading or Just being Male -or chilling during engineering years - falling pray to some girs - or any other factor - have a look@

https://www.nirfindia.org/2018/ManagementRanking.html -- look at RPC score -- which is Research Productivity, Impact and IPR (RPII) – 100 Marks Ranking Weight : 0.20 Overall Assessment Metric: RPC = (PU + CI)

There if you look at ranking -- IIT D / R / KGP / Bombay are the top 4. I am sure that in the area of reseach/publications/citations at any point of time IITs might to much better compared to IIMs as you have more emphasis on Analytics and there are more engineers.

Another parameter to look at is: ROI and Average/Median Salary IIT Mumbai at least looks to have 20L average sal which is better than IIM L;

I feel that in Knowledge based economy its your analytical / application skill which matters compared to diversity and other shit in the long run what matters is ROI for the person who hires -- For either an Investment Banker or Any other finance related guy an IIT grad with a Management degree might definitely look lucrative becuase of deeper Mathematical base; In anycase all don't endup in writing novels...

With their intake strategy IIT's would anyway take more engineers and become more attractive in the years to come at that point except for IIM C the other IIMs for Tech folks might look redundent as well. I strongly hope and wish it happens that way so that the polarization persist and Industry gets what they really want.

Finally its the quality of people which matter - So just chill and apply for IITs - we should able to strengthen the IIT Management ecosystem instead of IIMs

Any one facing an issue with the drop down box for Mtech year of commencement in IIM A form? I had started my masters in 2017 July(last one year in a five year dual degree programme) but the drop down only has values until 2016. I have no other option but to enter 2016 as the start year.Similar problem exists while entering semester wise GPA.

Hey! If there is anyone who could help, I shall be highly obliged. ‌I did my undergraduation in 2016 and then took a break to prepare for upsc but I enrolled myself for PG but that wasnt my prority. So now I have cleared the PG with more than 65% but I have a back in one paper which I would be able to clear in coming June 2019. Now I have got call from IIM-A. So should I mention about the PG degree or would it be better just to talk about upsc considering I have a back in 1 paper in PG.
