So, the year has ended and I need some suggestions from you folks. Where shall I start? This Jan I will complete 2 yrs of job in IT. Last yr, I got 87 percentile without any prep (91 percentile in DILR). Prepared by myself this year and I am getting 118 marks(around 95 percentile). 16 marks in dilr( 70 percentile). Significant increase in VA and QA while the dilr section tanked. The exam can be unpredictable, you know. I had shortlisted 15-18 colleges that I wanted to go in ( some really good mocks gave hope). Mostly, I won't be getting in any of them. Next Jan, I will have 3 years of work experience ( a disadvantage if you want to go in other industries) Aspirations - Leave IT and go in supply chain management What will you do if you were in my shoes? Also, I have quite a mediocre profile with nothing stellar to show. That is why I always feel under confident of clearing any B school interview. ( Rejected in tiss interview last yr)
- Try for onsite or a better paying IT job ( honestly, i am good at my job but it’s not reallymy aspiration)
- My family might ask for MS after this failure, which I really hate ( personal reasons plus not a rich guy , so it will be a huge loan) saying no is inevitable but it will be difficult emotionally.
- Take admission in whichever college you get ( I am quite sure I won’t be doing MBA form other options)
- Join coaching and prep for cat 2019( unpredictable and career goes downhill in IT industry)
- Don’t take coaching and prep for cat 2019 ( unpredictable exam, less hope for roles that I am aspiring for)

Today, amusingly, many shall refrain from asking for predictions, lest they be considered and branded uncool. To get some traction going, somebody will post a link to an article claiming for the result to be out soon, and another will report the login being re-enabled, a supposed indicator to the iminency of results. Then another shall refute, and preach focus on the XAT, and few shall focus, as is the usual. New Year, would not be so new after all, not on Pagal Guy atleast, haha!
