I have a few queries related to Indian B-Schools. Valuable insights from knowledgeable people will be appreciated.
From what I have observed from my trivial observations is that most of the B-Schools in India are Marketing or Finance oriented. From old IIMs to tier 4 schools like IMT/IMI, majority of the schools have marketing/finance as their forte and even in schools where it’s not, marketing and finance aren’t that bad.
But when it comes to Operations, very selective schools offer good courses and none of the IIMs (including old) have Operations as their forte. Marketing and Finance have both, better quality and better quantity of students passing out of schools when compared to Operations.
Why the Indian B-School scenario is imbalanced like this? Is there less scope in India for people taking operations? What about the people who have quality work ex in operations but couldn’t get into schools like SPJIMR/SJMSOM/NITIE?

I'll be taking CAT in 2018 for the first time. What documents are required at the time of form fill up? I'm an OBC NCL candidate. Do I need to get the caste certificate in a particular format or the one i.e. already issued works? Also, it dates back to 2014. Is there a need for renewal or something?
