Is there any disadvantage later on in the career if someone has done an MBA in HR after Engineering? (Specifically talking about MDI-HR)
IIM-U has given lesser number of offers in the first list as compared to last year. Can we expect the waitlist movement to be affected by this?

*you would like to read this* Human mind is divided into 2 parts. 1st part takes decisions intutionally and 2nd part mulls over it for some time and then takes decision (Daniel Kahneman, Thinking fast and slow). In the same book, author argues that human mind selects candidates during interview process based on intuition. Someone suitable for you may not be suitable for someone else. To correct this bias, interview panels are asked to judge candidates on most important 5 to 7 pointers with each being assigned equal weightage. This process of interviews is being carried out by top b schools around the world. Where you are interviewed for 40 minutes and rated on 5 to 6 pointers. Thus bias is corrected. Sadly I have seen vary varied interview processes this year by top Indian b schools. Some interviews being for only 7 minutes (Don't know what did they test? ) while some being completely inclined on current affairs or academics only. Thus giving the impression that the same bias is not eliminated. And majority selection is being carried out on the basis of 'vibes coming out of candidates' and not on capability of the candidates. Correct me if I am wrong, but I feel very sad for people fallen prey to such bad luck. (Especially when 1 interview/ 2 people determine your faith for 9 top b schools at once). P.S. I have converted one of my dream institutes but I feel sad for others. I know b schools have to screen a lot of people, but starting early and sticking to stipulated standard procedure might work. Thanks PG community for amazing 1 year :)
Please suggest some test series for preparation. TIA
Hello guys , I have converted iim udaipur and iim Ranchi even in the first list and will be most probably converting iit Bombay tomorrow in the third list (current waiting list no 12 NC- OBC). I am a mechanical engineer with two years of work experience in tractor industry as project manager. Should I consider iim Ranchi over IIT Bombay ??
