That epic moment when you update the status of having converted IIM K, and MBA-ignorant-friends/relatives ask if K stands for Kolkata here!! And I'm like 'I wish'. :P
First convert after several rejections/huge WLs, much happy!
Thanks to each of you who directly or indirectly helped me via messages/posts, etc and for inspiring by your hardwork and achievements!
Ultimately we will all reach the college where we're meant to and we'll give our best with all our heart there, do some great things and have some great impression on the hearts of the people whose lives we pass through in this journey of ours.
These colleges are not our destinations, these are just some lucrative diversions in the road of our life and they take to us to different paths with different hardships, joys and different experiences.
The ultimate destination is the same for all of us: to have A life well lived! :)
So, this goes to all those (Especially those 99.9+ %ilers who worked really hard to get there) who are disheartened by either not converting any college so far or not converting the college they really wanted to:
Stay in there with all you've got, for you're not lost or you're not lagging, you're just on a different path with our own speed. You'll get there sooner or later. You're more awesome than you think. :)

I may sound greedy/immature here but please let me know what are your thoughts on it.
Since MBA is a once in a lifetime opportunity, I was/am desperate to do it from IIM ABC. (The guilt of not making into IIT still pops up sometime).
Want to know what is difference between IIM ABC and IIM K with regards to opportunities, learning environment, market recognition and importantly placements(except IB firms).
Does it matter in long term? I mean if I continue with my Job and try to get into IIM ABC next year, how much of a difference will it make in my career down the line?
Is continuing to work for one more year in IT Job (Java Developer, Product Company ) and sacrificing IIM K worth IIM ABC?
I agree I may end up not getting into any of the IIM’s next year. Also, I would have 3 years of IT work Exp next year. Is this risk worth IIM ABC (given that I have IIM K offer now)?
