I have waitlist number 226 in XIMB BM .Do i have any chances of getting selected?
XIMB waitlist 113 for PGDM BM. What are the chances of converting ?
Can anyone rank the new IIMs(Trichy,Ranchi,Rohtak,Udaipur,Kashipur,Raipur)on the basis of Finance Specialisation ?
The interviews are almost coming to an end. Most of us would start attending some college after approximately 2 months. Some of us left our job and came home for CAT preparation.For me, I had left my job for civils preparation and been at home for quite some time. I am sure there would be many like me.. :)
I rarely used to use my phone before the MBA interviews started, when a lot of useful whatspp groups were made ( people are gradually leaving them now). My parents often found me in front of the laptop or the phone during this period. But I found myself reading and following useless and random stuff on groups often.. :P
But now, I have promised myself to limit my use of phone back to minimal for the next 2 months and spend more and more time with family - watching movies together ,cooking and traveling etc.
A family wherein the mother never failed to pack food for every interview even at odd hours, the father never failed to enquire all the requirements and always got the printouts, ensured the travel arrangements, mother was genuinely interested in knowing what did they ask and consoled when it went bad by saying that the panel must have been bad and not realised your potential. A dadi who kept looking at the door as to when would I return and waiting to hear from me that it went really good although she does not understand MBA. Neither do i want to make her understand as I adore her innocence. She thinks I go for job interviews the way I study and suit up. :'))
No matter what the result would be, I consider myself lucky to be in that 1% of children who got a chance to study Math and English in a good school and an able & loving family to take care of me.
Therefore, any achievement of mine is going to be nothing but a responsibility towards the not so fortunate poor kids out there whose raw talent is far greater than my ability to solve few questions in limited time. I want to say that if one cannot consider any of their achievements as a responsibility the least they can do is have humility about it. Long live humility.
[I am writing this here as a note to self and encourage anyone who can relate to this, lest we delve into an avoidable nostalgia during the rigourous MBA.]
The worst part of whole process is waiting for results.

Recently landed a very good role at a very good organisation. Peer group (mostly BITSians), work culture, career growth trends of previous employees is all amazing.
Only qualm is salary is lowish since being considered as a fresher.
