In the second list, we can see that the waitlist moved to 360. Even everyone in the list rejects the offer, it can't be more than the number of seats allocated in the respective category. What made it to move to such number? Does this indicate that buffer calls were being made? Would there be any consent form that needs to be filled by the waitlisted candidates to show their disinterest prior to arriving at their turn along the wailtlist?
Guys please help me out .... I am not selected in campus interviews... And I got seat in GL chennai pgdm.... I am a B.tech final year student .... Should I leave that chance or try for CAT18 (my current profile 10/12/btech - 95/92/70.67, XAt - 85.2, decent extra curricular activities )

- Never been asked about year gap.
- Doesn’t matter much. Casually asked about it.
- Matters a lot. Grilled a lot in the interview.
- Doesn’t matter if you can justify it.

"After showing their inability to place the batch and with only 50 % of the batch placed and session ending in 15 days, placecomm has now stopped conducting processes and withdrew processes.
Placement head speaks something else while placecomm does something else only.
It shows the crude manner in which the committee works without zero concern for the batch. They have now started abusing their batchmates directly in front of the batch. They have also now come up with some weird logic under which after 15 march everyone will be considered placed and students have to accept it unconditionally.
Only a few got 11+, rest are in the bracket of 8-10
We know IIMs are not placement agencies but academic institutions with not so good Profs and not able to retain good Profs.
Authority is saying they are not concerned about placements but academics.
If you don't want to give placements - Please write the same in the brochure. And also take anonymous feedback of all profs and share in a public forum.
Authorities are saying - we dont have quality - and we are not good enough to get placements. - WHY DID YOU TAKE ADMISSIONS THEN.

Newcomers do proper research before joining any B Schools

This is a request to all the CAT veterans out there. Please take a moment and kindly read this post.
Lately, I have been a little disturbed, over the kind of calls that I have. I filled the form of a college, as a back up option, and now I only have a call from them. The other results are awaited. The name of the college is TAPMI, Manipal. I have to deposit the fee till second week of April (6.5 lakhs).
I am having my doubts about the college. No offence meant to anybody who loves this college and is eagerly waiting to convert it. I know that in Pagalguy, (the toppers especially) no one really cares about the colleges other than IIMs and XL, FMS, but I need your help.
I am doing my research on colleges and I am requesting a help from you guys. Please, please help me in making an informed decision by giving your unbiased view on this college. Anything that you know (for sure). I am a fresher, Economics graduate. Likewise, if you want to ask me about any college, I would be more than willing to help. Do not hesitate to ping me here.
