Do you think the amount of money, IIM's are spending on conducting interviews is justified? I can speak for centres in Mumbai.
I have IIM K interview at "Institute of Hotel Management, Dadar". IIM CAP interview at "The Mirador, Andheri".
My friends' IIM-B was at "Vivanta by Taj, Mumbai." IIM A and C would have had interviews in similar 4 star hotels.
IIM's are using the fees paid by close to 2 Lakhs candiates for this. Imagine 1800*200000 Rupees. Can't they invest this amount for development of our country?
Also, IIM's are well established institutes. They don't require branding. Everyone knows how good they are.
In my opinion, IIM's should take this initiative to conduct interviews not in lavish hotels but in the colleges where our CAT exam takes place.
The money saved can be invested in better programs which ensure growth of our economy,

Koi please thoda dilemma kum karne mein help kardo..I am in mumbai with the nmims fee..but still not sure if I should pay, only other options MDI,IIFT,DFS,Good new IIM. I am a fresher and money is not really a concern but would like to live the life of an amazing business school and though my GDPI went well cant be sure if I will actually convert others, I know I can do better in CAT next time but that will completely waste one year for a slightly better college if it happens.. Specialization: Finance/Strategy (Consulting)..so should I pay NMIMS or take the risk, in the worst case scenario nmims vs cat18..

What about IIIT Gwalior?
What is the average package of HR after like 10 years or so..I have heard that HR stream kinda gets stagnant after a period of time and there is hardly any growth.Moreover,the HR dept. in any organisation is usually of small size so job opportunities and roles are less.Even the salary hike is not that much after a period of time.Is this all true ?

I don’t know if this happens with many of you. But whenever I search for any Company’s India Head/VP/CEO profile, they happen to be a graduate from ABC or may be Wharton/Stanford/Harvard. Does this mean that the brand has a very long term effect because I heard it definitely gives you a start and then rest your work matters. Or These are only some of the peeps who have been working hard all through their life, while others have become complacent or may be I haven’t yet stumbled on their profiles. P.S. - Sorry if this demotivates you.

Cat oa 92.87, above 90 in each sectionals..10th - 92.2, 12th - 88.2,btech cse, No call from iim.. Not even from baby iim's.. Is this very common??
