It seems the admission criteria of most of the top B schools in India are decided with an intention of motivating the present day school going children to take up graduation in disciplines other than engineering and to concentrate on board examinations rather than entrance examinations :P
Who knows, 10 years from now GEMs would be given +10 for diversity!

I was not selected in SPJain profile-cum-score at 93.99 %ile. X/XII/Grad-90.2/86.6/89.6 and 4 yrs work ex in Oil and Gas major. Pretty good extra cirriculars too with national level quizzing etc. Can't seem to understand what these guys look for. Highly demotivated!
Cat score has now become an eligibility criteria for considering your acads. : p
If you are an engineer - think before giving CAT
If your acad sunk(<80) somewhere - just pray to God day and night
And If you are an engineer with sunken acad - pack your bag & leave this planet -_-

CAT 17 overall 80.13 (zero preparation imho) X - 92.4 (CBSE) XII - 82.4 (CBSE Science) BE dropout (2 yr academic gap) Presently BMS marketing (same as BBA) last sem Mumbai university aggregate around 70% Appeared in CAT alone & applying for MAHCET. Any other tests i should apply for? Also do I need a Maharashtra domicile? (Bengal born but in Mumbai since 2007) No significant internships. Do all colleges trash engg dropout candidates? Should I aspire for admission this yr itself as I wasted 2 yrs in UG (also getting music from parents .. I'm 22 y/o)? Or should I reappear next year? Will any reputed MAHCET college will admit me despite academic credentials if I have requisite score? What are the highest ranked colleges that may admit me with my CAT score? Also kindly suggest suitable courses abroad if u know of any.
