Just heard from a few friends from Top 10 B schools that finance Companies majorly hire Bcom freshers for IB roles ?? would work ex( managerial )and CFA level 1 help for an engineer ? Thoughts would be appreciated

Someone told me that a newspaper releases a booklet with all the happenings in the previous year, i.e., 2017. Dont remember the name though, was Hindu I guess. Anyone knows about this? If so, please help. Would be helpful for GD-PI.
