I checked the answer key from CAT website. I used TIME institute's percentile,scaled score predictor and got the following percentile, scaled score in brackets - VARC- 97.29(60.47) DILR- 83.56 (24.07) QA- 57.28 (19.81) Overall-80.77(104.55) Category - SC 10th std-93%, 12th-88.75% grad(BE)-68%. Can I expect a call from good B schools or is my score especially QA too low to get a call? Please be honest. Thanks

Q. 92 The paper setters left out a crucial piece of information about a,b,c being integers. In the absence of this information, the question doesnt have a unique solution. As the question was of non-MCQ type, which doesnt allow for 'cannot be determined' to be the answer, students would have had to reason backwards and infer that a,b,c must be integers.
has anyone objected against this question?

Saw @scrabbler 's comments on a post minutes back. Has he written his review yet? I refresh his cat100percentile website tens of times a day only to hear his side of the story. Those who wish to hear from him soon, may like and comment on this thread.
It is strange, ironic, and sad that candidates need to quit their job to prepare for a B-School interview! Ideally work experience should be an important part of B-School interviews and should play an important role in final selection of the candidates.
From what I gather and have seen, people feel the need to dedicate their entire time to GDPI preparations to face the general awareness questions asked in interviews, questions which I believe are absolutely needless and which do not test the business acumen of the candidate in any way. Yes, a B-School aspirant should be aware of what is happening around him/her, but not to the extent of being aware of every single detail and number. The questions should rather focus on the aspirant's experiences (both work and life), dreams, his/her reason to do an MBA etc.
Instead, the aspirant quits his/her job and burns the midnight oil memorising every single detail about some political deal signed between India and Iran.
I do not understand why!
(Disclaimer: I am not aware if there was any deal signed between India and Iran, have used random names to give an example :P)

There are 3 people A, B and C. Three of them have positive integers written on their hats. One can only see the numbers written on others hats and can not see the number written on his own hat. The number on one of the hats is the sum of the numbers on the other 2 hats. Now the following event occurs
- A was asked about the number on his hat. He replies "Don't know".
- B was asked about the number on his hat. He also replies "Don't know".
- C was asked about the number on his hat. He also replies "Don't know".
- A was asked again the number on his hat. He replies "65".
Find the product of the three numbers on the hats.

Just happened to take look at scrabbler's 16 scorecard few days back. His dilr %ile was 100 and score was 88.x . I have heard the top score will be equated to a score of 100 so I guess he must be in the bottom half of Dilr 100%ilers i.e., 10 to 20. The scaled score gap is too much for the same percentile. Anyother possible explanation for this ?
Hello guys, need some advice I have work ex of 32 months. 10th 91%, 12th 88%, B.E. 74% and general category. I got 220 in NMAT, in CAT I'm expecting 99%ile, IIFT 36.8 Right now I don't have any job but I received one good offer from a company. Should I join that company? When will academics start in bschools? If I don't have any job then will that affect my PI? Kindly provide your precious views. Thanks
