On a serious note When I was in 10th CBSE didn't have CGPA marking so I was able to score just 90 but I was in top 20-30 in my school and the school topper had 95.xx. but now that they have changed the grading pattern, I see a lot of 10 pointers(my brother's batch had a whopping 14 people scoring 10/10). Will IIMs take these factors into consideration? I just saw Indore's selection criteria and it gives around 40 marks for 10th standard. I feel there has to be some kind of a calculation to balance this out, otherwise CGPA guys will be at an unfair advantage. What do you guys feel?
I am working as bank po but totally frustrated with the banking work culture. I do not feel content with life and thinks about future than living in present. I do not feel like I am living my life. I curse myself for every mistake I make and also feel like I do not have this quality, that quality in me. I don't have friends.Â
I gave my 3rd attempt at cat with 1.5 yr work ex. At max. I will be only getting 120-130 marks and with average accads and poor personality skills I have low hopes of making into top b-schools. I work on my improvement daily but has a long way to go.Â
What should I do? I have no idea why i want to do mba..may be to improve my overall personality. Self doubt is high in me. What is wise? Leave Po job and get into top 10-15 mba colleges or stay in bank(which i am not enjoying). Plz help me.

One quetion in slot 1 DILR section. Please clear my doubt, where my understanding is wrong.
In south(S) total students = 200 villages*50 = 10000Out of these 60% in government school = 6000
In S, whose mother has completed primary education are in school = Total in S - whose mother dropped out before completeing primary= 10000 - 5700 = 4300
So here total 4300 are in school, which means government + private = 4300, while 2nd line shows in government only 6000 students are there.
Please, Please, Please clear my doubt.
Let's mail the authorities to upload our responses the same way GATE authorities do! What's the point in uploading the answer key if we are not sure what we exactly marked.. this leading to further speculation and anxiety! Let's do it guys! What say??
Accuracy will play the role of differentiator this season..... As when the scores are scaled then negatives will also be scaled accordingly

Taking the case of DILR for slot 2: A score of 65 with 100% accuracy will be scaled to 90 ( 90/62 = 1.3846 )....
Now for rest of the students: 1 correct question in dilr will fetch = 3*1.3846 = 4.153846 ...and 1 incorrect mcq will lead to = -1.3846 .....So, 15 attempts with 1 wrong = 56.77 scaled score and 15 attempts with 2 wrong = 51.23 scaled score .....
And the effect will be even more for slot 1

Overall 120-125. Will I cross 93%ile.

Maybe the naive core branch guys will relate with me on this,Â
Kabhi socha nahi tha ki CAT ki taiyari karunga, MBA shabd sunke repulsion hoti thi college time pe, and the only aim used to be to end up with a good core job (naive idealist nature) or crack GATE/IES and end up with a PSU or enjoy the clout by becoming a part of the bureaucratic juggernaut. But what seemed as a silver lining after grabbing an envious core job profile was actually going to show the harsh reality of living in a country where the manufacturing/industrial/secondary sector lags far behind the tertiary/service sector, and the cliff of disparity in the earning potential of these two sectors (after passing out of a supposedly tier-A college) being too wide to be scaled over in the first 10-15 years of your career, and hence, after this realisation dawned on me, after a gruelling 2 year core sector career with ~11 hour work-days which made me walk the distance between Chennai and Delhi in a year on the shop floor while wearing brick heavy steel toe shoes, suffering 2 severe ankle sprains in the process, while getting a pay that seems to be awfully off the mark from the effort I poured every day at work, I took the plunge to take a shot at belling the CAT.Â
Well this is my honest reason for going about this whole CAT hullabaloo.
Anyone one else who is scoring just around 160 this time n feel they will be left out again ..I ve suffered this twice already in jee advanced ..anyone else like me ?
