Can someone please guide as in how to START solving such a question? Just need to determine the ranks
Directions for question: Five friends A, B, C, D and E are running on a circular track. Initially, one number, from 1 to 5 is allotted to each of them (not necessarily in the order in which their names are mentioned) and these numbers are considered to be their initial ranks. Rank of any two friends cannot be the same. Rank of a person after round 1 and 2, is defined by the serial number in which they have completed any particular round, with lower numbered rank considered higher. The following observations were made after each of them completed one and two rounds:
● The sum of absolute differences between the individual ranks (after round 1) of all the friends and their initial ranks is 8.
● Two different pairs of friends have same absolute difference between their initial rank and rank secured after round 1.
● The difference between the ranks (after round 1) of D & E and E & C is the same, with D having higher rank among the mentioned three.
● A's rank is higher than B's rank with both of them having even numbered rank after round 1.
● The sum of absolute differences between the individual ranks of all the friends after round 1 and the individual ranks after round 2, is 10.
● Three friends have the same absolute differences of 1 in their ranks after round 1 and round 2.
● B did not get rank 1 after round 2.

My surname is Mehta. On admit card it is mentioned as Mrhta. I contacted CAT helpdesk, they advised me to carry as many ID proofs as possible at exam centre but wheteher they will allow me to sit for the exam will depend on the invigilation team. Please let me know whether I ll be alllowed to sot for the exam or not.
Also, while applying for other colleges accepting CAT score, whether I should enter my name as mentioned in my admit card or the correct one. I dont want my applications to get rejected.

To those who have filled up the XAT form, can you please help me with the following queries?
1) For University/Institution, do we have to mention Board Name (For example, XYZ State Board) or School Name?
2) We have CGPA system, so is it ok if I enter "Marks obtained" in CGPA, for example 8.69 out of 10 and then entering % of Marks obtained by converting it as per our University Norms, i.e 81.90 % ?
3) Needed Clarification for the "Course Duration" Section. Do we have to fill all three in years? For eg. 10th, 12th & Grad as 1,1 & 4 respectively. Or we have to fill in months?
