What are the things that i can do to make myself more effective in the future or to get some CV points before MBA and during MBA?

I'm considering IIM Udaipur over Rohtak and VGSoM, keeping location in mind. I'm waitlisted in IIM Ranchi too but inclined towards Udaipur. Please mention the pros and cons of each institute. Thanks.

I got 2151 wait list number in iimu. Cat 97.96% . Any hope for new iim or baby iim?

Hi, I have appeared for CAT 2016 and had calls from IIM Indore and new IIM’s (Trichy, Raipur,Rohtak,Kashipur,Udaipur,Ranchi). My interview scores was to be taken from IIM Indore. At percentile of 99.5+, 10th :95+, 12th:80+ and BE: around 65, I am waitlisted in Indore at around 600. I have rejects from Ranchi, Rohtak and Udaipur at waitlist of 1600+. Two peculiar things I want to bring in you notice after going through results of 100 candidates: 1. People who have good profiles and converted Indore are waitlisted no in ranging from 600 to 2500. People with similar(rather same) profiles and having old IIM call(for example Kozikode)like us and rejected in that old IIM have converted in first list only 2. Same holds for people who have waitlisted in Indore. So is there any process or normalization process done on scores from old IIM’s so that for an average or same level of interview , everyone gets same marks in PI. I thereby request you to verify and recheck our scores. This is not because I have been wailtlisted or rejected but I have been following new IIM since last year and such high waitlist no when 55% weightage is attached to CAT score seems unlikely to me

People, In case you find any discrepancy or totally improbable outcome in the new iims results, do have a check on that. They can even miss sending your scores across to all the iims !!
Last year I had rejects from all new iims initially. In some of them, the message shown was 'INVALID CREDENTIALS' instead of having converted or rejected. I left it like that. Later on I got a mail from Rohtak stating I have converted in the latest list. That was skeptical since I'm not even waitlisted for Udaipur in 2000's wl numbers and I converted Rohtak!
I had to call Udaipur and after some checks the response was ' We havent received your PI score but only Wat score from Kashipur (the IIM which conducted the process) ... GREAT FOR THE SO CALLED TAG IIM!!!!!!!
That didnt sort anything out..sarkari attitude !! I had to make several calls again for them to send my scores when it was June already to the iims.. And i got IIM trichy converted as I called and asked them personally. Still Udaipur WL no was some 800 and Ranchi just said my composite score is lower than last convert.
So here is the funny thing. I converted Rohtak in some list without PI score, ie., zero for PI!!! And with the PI score I didnt even convert Udaipur.
All that is after they missed to send my score to all the new IIMs in the first place.
Bottomline is, if u see don't get a proper 'rejected' message while checking result, have a check on that. And even if you see a 'rejected' message but sense strong discrepencies, do have a check. These new IIMs are still 'new' to many things, like diligence.
