While applying for cat 16 the work ex was asked till July 2016 do iims strictly follow this rule or we can show more months as work ex as we continue working after july.

Please help me decide, currenlty I have 34 months of work ex, if I resign now after serving 1 month of notice period I will have have 35 months of work ex, if I continue and resign next month I will have 36 months work ex and will be in the bracket of 3+ work ex, should I resign now, does being a person with less than 3 years of work ex really matter at the time of placement?


PS - CAP interview was good, hoping to crack atleast 1 of the IIM calls.

I have GAP of 2 years after 3 years of work ex, for preparation of CAT, is it advisable to repeat it again, i did not get desirable IIM that is the main concern. But i have joined my family business.

Guys I have got 28 months of workex at an Mnc and i absolutely loathe my job. Cat 2016 was my first attempt and i scored around the 85 mark and the Quant section went horribly wrong. I attended Gdpis for nmims Tapmi gim fore and couple of others. Altough not sure of converting not sure of joining this year. I want to give it a real go at it next year. Since I hate my job to the core would it be advisable to quit it and go gung ho next year or join one of these colleges this year?

Which one>? In terms of pedagogy, brand, placements. Open to all options (as I do have inclination towards HR). Converted IMT Marketing. 2 years work ex in IT. Or should I go for CAT 2017 and aim higher?

Help me make the right decision. Tapmi or IMT? While it's a no-brainer if you take into account, the past reputation and stronger alumni base, I do keep hearing about how IMT has been degrading over the years while Tapmi, is on the rise. Now both the colleges are AASCB accredited. Almost similar average package but with Tapmi offering 100% placements. On par. Tapmi being 2L cheaper. Also, I'm open to building a career in IT/consulting post MBA, just as much as marketing. So what makes IMT more special?
