Darwinian evolutionary theory "Survival of the fittest" is pretty much applicable everywhere, even in the selection criteria of top colleges, where they demand consistent performance throughout your past career and even expect u to be consistent in the future where u need to be consistent during MBA, leaving no place for average/mediocre guys to fit under their criteria. So it is very difficult a task to get into your dream colleges with average acads, even if u score exceptionally high in CAT (A B I K still won't call). And even if u get into one of the top colleges, u need to give explanations for your pasts acads everywhere, starting from internships and placements, many top recruiters won't even give u a shortlist (sad but true)
Being consistent doesn't end after completing your MBA, your company also expects you to be a consistent performer throughout your career (you might not be consistent in bed, but u need to be consistent for your company).
In short, this professional corporate world expects consistency from you till the time you go to your grave.
So be consistent 😄

Guys I need your suggestions. As this group has always been helpful and genuine so I thought of posting this.
I have converted SPJIMR and I am super happy about it. It was the best call I had this year.
But I was still wondering as to join it this year. The reasons for and against it are as follows:
Reasons for Joining:
Tier 1 institute
Second attempt at CAT
Uncertainties of CAT and sectionals ((1st and 2nd attempt: 96 and 97 percentiles)
Leaving it can give resentment for leaving a great institute

Reasons for not joining:
First year online MBA
Good job in hand 11 lpa CTC with supportive manager
Less than a year experience
Strong academic profile(9/9/9). Can target ABCL if cat percentile is around 99.5(not sure if I can get it though)
Reasons of doing MBA: Trying to explore daily but still not sure as to exactly what it is.
I just wanted to get other viewpoints(especially of veterans who have been there and done that :) as to what you would have done if you were in same shoes)
