TOP 20 MBA COLLEGES according to me (comment down your opinion in case I am missing out something)
1 IIM A
2 IIM B
3 IIM C
(The holy Trinity, A being on top as usual because it is 'THE' IIM , B on second because rarely people leave B for C (unless u are really really interested in finance)
4 ISB
5 XLRI
6 FMS
7 IIM L
(These 4 colleges are preffered the most after ABC)
8 SPJIMR
9 JBIMS
10 SJMSOM ( low batch size + half of the batch getting PPOs + ROI)
11 IIM K
12 MDI G
13 NITIE / IIFT D
14 IIFT D/ NITIE (Both are best in the country at what they offer, i.e. operations and trade)
An IIM K student personally messaged me on LinkedIn for internship opportunity in the company that I work for. Is the situation this bad that too in BLACKI ?
Settling is not a sin.
Yes, getting into ABC is what all aspirants aim for. But not all make it. Why?
Not perseverant enough? Maybe
Not motivated enough? Maybe
Coz they work 12 hour shifts to feed their family? Maybe
Coz if they try one more time they'll get married off? Maybe
Coz they live in a dingy house with a drunkard father? Maybe
Only YOU know your story. If your circumstances don't work out, it's okay to choose a college from where you feel you can move on to better things. Don't get bogged down by all the noise about ABC. Yes, they are the best colleges in the country. But it's okay if you don't study there. Don't base your self worth on the college you study in. It's okay if you have to settle. Give your goddamn best, and if things go south after that, it's okay. Make the process supreme, the results irrelevant.
I have been saying this on every post on b school comparison and will continue to say it till some aspirant finds it useful for themselves. Go to your b school which you converted with your greatest hardwork. Go! The ABC is been at the highest position because the b schools boasts of the highest quality students in the competition. If you see yourself worthy of ABC yet didn't get it, then go to the next b school and improve it's student quality. Tell the aspirants about your b school, your story, your perception. Don't snug into the ABC chant. My college NIT Jamshedpur never recieved the best name for the NIT name it holds and I am trying my best to reduce information asymmetry with the students at our college, as an alumini, so that they can get into better career opportunities than me. It's not what you didn't get into. It's what you carry forward with you from cat journey. Your hardwork, compassion, and motivation.
Go! This is your story, your responsibility. Nobody has to say you about career choices, not knowing about the circumstances you are in.
Since the month of the results is starting today, just putting this out here:
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन ।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥
( You have a right to perform your duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty )
The college that you get after all of your hardwork, after all of your sacrifices, is the best college for you!
The admit that made your eyes well up, the admit that made you ecstatic, the admit that you just can't even think of rejecting for a 'better' admit next year, is the best admit for you.
Never let anyone tell you otherwise! All the best for the incoming results peeps!
Just logged in and saw a chain of posts comforting and reassuring everyone w.r.t. ABC.
ABC are a big deal, no doubt. I won't steal their thunder. But I won't let you stomp the spark in you from becoming a fire just because you didn't get into them. Life is much more than that. So much more.
Remember when we were told the same narrative during our undergraduation? If it's not IIT, it's not engineering. If it's not AIIMS, it's not medical. If it's not SRCC... and what not. And look how far you've come. Although my college's label holds no competition against IIT/NIT but I can say for myself that my college made up for that by giving me some of the best lessons and best people in my life. This college got me placed in a non-FAANG company which again taught me some amazing lessons and I met with people who, I can very well say, know me better than my school or college friends. And I am sure that will be true for most of you.
Don't let anyone else tell you what you can't do. You are as much capable of getting successful in your call college as much as in ABC. Sure, it will be a bit more hustle, but still better than ruining your mental and physical health. You matter. Most.
Don't let the absence of ABC tag after your name prevent you from basking in the glory of the beautiful journey of learning that lays ahead of you. Don't let self-doubt overshadow the beauty and comfort around you.
Years from now, when you will look back at this time, sitting in your dream home with a dangerously adorable family, you'll be happily smiling that you made the right choice of choosing yourself over the label.
Lots and lots of love and positive energy.
Just another PagalGuy

Here are a couple of lines from Akif Kichloo based on the post by @Dwightschrute
Let us ignore the stars tonight and
Gaze at the immense nothingness in between.
For what shines, remains the attention of the world and
What does not, often remains quiet and alone.
But quiet will always tell you more
Just like lonely will always love you more.
IIT kanpur selects 256 students and waitlisted 78 students, when the input should be 78 seats..... Why does this seem like the adcom switched the lists?
*Visible confusion
A'ight I can't send memes but I can convert them to speech so here goes my WAT mock:
An interview setting. You're sitting in front of the panelists.
Towards the end of the interview, P1 asks you if you remember the name of the daughter of the Nepali PM. Classic big brain question to weed out candidates using the state-of-the-art algorithm they've got at their disposal.
You reply in the negative.
P1 (gives a slight scoff): "Okay that's it from our side. Do you have any questions for us?"
You: "Do you happen to know the attack damage by an AK-47 bullet in CS:GO?"
P1: *looks at you like he's just pooped himself*
P2: *smiles because you might just replace her boss soon enough*
Doesn't anyone from the group know someone from PGHQ personally?
Because of the way things are going on it seems the only direction the website can go is south
1. People aren't able to share memes *sad pinku noises* which in turn means *sad entire community noises*
2. So much spamming that our timeline has more "This post is hidden for you because you have blocked the author." than actual posts. You should add at least mobile number verification for sign-up.
Does anyone have any idea when enrollment for AIMCATs will start? I only want to enroll for the test series and not correspondence course.. that's not available on the website as of yet.
For Mocks, are SIMCATS (Proctored +Take Homes) enough or do I need to buy AIMCATS/CL as well?
If yes suggest the best option between AIMCATS and CL.
Cat 21 will be the second attempt. Cat 20 score was 81/88/73 OA- 85.
PGHQ:
❎ Improving spamming filter for posts involving several links at once and putting other check mechanism.
✅ Banning uploading photos which were not even used as a spamming means but used for uploading memes because why not...
