THE FINAL LEAP
*Narrator*
The power to changeย
dreams to reality
the effort to makeย
the impossible
a possibility
is something I believeย
everyone has
it is hiddenย
in the shadow of despair
of an unworthy pastย
and losses to bear
*Character*
The darkness is thick
almost blinding
I cannot do it
how much I try
I think and I smile
I know my limits
and I concur defeat
this is an impossible feat
*Narrator*
Your life is not black and white
there is nothing wrong
and nothing absolutely right
whatever you do
becomes who you are
All you can do is fight
for those who stay in their shells
are not called people of might
get out from the well of darkness
to the world
where the sun shines bright
It might hurt your eyes
It has a blinding sight
but soon you will realize
You were born to reach the skies
and when you do
you'll remember this day
laugh at it
as you may
*Character*
Easy to say
tough to followย
Your words have no power
they are nothing but hollow
say what you might
things do not changeย
in a day
this despairย
is here to stay
*Narrator*
You cannot runย
from who you are
but you can outrun
that sea of despair
a single push
won't be enough
you will fall
you should rise
look at the peakย
change the streak
you have everything you need
you'll conquer the land and the seas
a little hopeย
is the final piece
of the puzzle
the answer to which
you wish to seek
*Character*
You make me wonder
if there is something else to ponder
something that I never saw
a ray of hope
a divergence
from this
never-ending trope
I will do
what I can
find what I wantย
amongst the heap
It is time
for my final leap!

Lots of thoughts right now in my mind! Finally so close to the D-Day! I got to know about the PG community very late, but well, atleast before CAT! XD I got to read a lot of old posts by amazing performers sharing their stories, know a few good people and most importantly got to know that even the greatest performers do find obstacles but what's important is how you deal with it.. So friends! The very exam for which many of us joined PG is knocking the door. The D Day has come close! Just like me, I am sure many have lots of thoughts in mind! Arey wo 2-3 formulae aur kar lun? Wo chapter phir se padh lun? Well! Jitna padhna tha padh liye, ab bas purey confidence k saath exam dena hai aur calm rehna hai! Do not give up no matter what! You have taken a lot of exams like this and nailed it! This journey too will end in an amazing manner! Keep calm and all the best friends!!
https://instagram.com/conquest.iims?igshid=2im5zp3pj4ak Guys the sectoral analysis by consulting club of iim Shillong is amazing. They don't market it properly. Reading it to get some indepth knowledge. Will suggest to go through it for last minute easy practice. Link is in bio.
To all those who would be attempting the CAT 2020 and thinking of getting into their dream colleges with amazing percentiles these are a few final tips that would help -ย
1] Do not do anything on the last day. Just spend your time relaxing and even enjoy a movie if you want. The only thing you can do is revise your formulas if you want to.
2] Keep up your confidence level. You have studied for tons of hours now, given mocks and did everything you could. Just believe in yourself and in your preparation and this would go a long way in making a difference in the percentiles you achieve.
3] Most importantly check all the things that needs to be carried the day before the exam itself. Don't wait that you will check everything before leaving for the exam. If you forget something on the D Day it could be disastrous.
4] Reach the centre well before your scheduled slot. Waiting outside is fine rather than missing the cut off time by few mins.
5] This is a personal opinion, folowing it is upto you. Have something high in sugar such your favorite chocolates or even few Hide & Seek biscuits before the exam. It does give the brain some much needed stimulus.
6] Once you are in your designated place in the exam hall, check if you have completed all the formalities that were required before the start of the exam.
7] During the paper if any section starts to feel difficult to you do not let yourself be demoralized. There are high chances that the section itself is tuff and hence that won't affect your percentiles. But no matter what don't let the feeling of the section being tuff carry over to other sections. That would ruin the entire paper. Start each section with a fresh mindset.
8] With all the mocks you have given, you must have set a strategy for solving the paper. Try to go ahead with the same strategy itself and do not try to do something new in the paper. But this does not mean being rigid. You also have to be flexible to modify your strategy slightly according to the paper you get.
9] Lastly, the two hours of exam uses heavy mental energy and it is best that you forget what happened in the paper and do not discuss it once you get out of the room. This is because already you are into mental exhaustion due to the 2 hrs and anyways you won't be able to change anything that is gone.ย
Lastly, I will again repeat that believe in yourself and your preparation and you will surely get through with amazing scores.ย
All the Best and do chill out with family and friends post the exam (ofcourse taking all the precautions).
