Hi everyone, My CAT journey is (almost) OVER.

 
 

I recently saw someone venting out his/her emotions on this forum, I could resonate with the said person's story but before that I want to clear some thoughts,

 
 

1. I'm not doing this to gain sympathy or popularity or on the same lines.

2. It's just me saying something to a group of fellow aspirants as I have no other 'friends'.

3. Some of you might as well recognise me because I'm quite active from my original account so, it's a humble request don't reveal my identity.

 
 

This is my second attempt to CAT and I couldn't perform as per my expectations in the first one and didn't got what I 'deserve'. So, even after taking a drop and with no job at hand currently, I took a decision to appear again (I know I would have had a drop of almost 2 years till the time I reach the interview stage) but, life had other plans for me, I guess. 

 
 

I lost my father due to a cardiac arrest 10 days back.

 
 

Being the eldest son/daughter in the family, I have tons of things which needs to be taken care of and the last nail in the coffin is probably not fulfilling my father's dream of me doing an MBA for a top B-school in India and given the profile that I've (7/7/9) I've been told time and again that I don't have a shot at FMS, which is the need of the hour (ROI factor, obviously) even at a raw score of 200 in CAT. 

 
 

I've being doing decent in SIMCATs (120ish) but, given the family situation I would have to leave the umeed of even doing an MBA, My guilt's ?

 
 

1. Not fulfilling my father's dream.

2. Should have taken an admit last season, at least he knew I would have an MBA degree down the line.

3. Probably not a secure future now.

Reposting this, can some pls guide me I have done my grad. from a open university. And I have done D.ed( a teacher training course-regular). I have done them simultaneously..in the same years. I scored less in my grad(63%). than D.ed(82%) . Should I mention my D.ed in my application form? Will it become a problem ? Or will it be useful for me to justify my low marks in grad? Help pls

Hi, I need some advice/ clarification regarding filling the academics section of the CAT form. I'm a part of the 2016-20 batch, and gave my final semester exams in July this year. Results only till the 7th semester have been declared as of now. If I fill yes in the section of "Are you in the final year", then would selecting my current semester as 8th and putting in my marks till the 7th sem work? Also, in this case, what should be the expected date of completion (when my exams ended i.e. July, or when the results would be declared i.e. unknown at the moment)? Further, marking not in final year + degree completed is an absolute no-no right? Thanks, please do clarify as soon as possible!

Guys has anyone of you written CAT at Varanasi Centre? How are the arrangements? I am doubtful about Varanasi, this being a Tier2 city. Last time I wrote CAT at Delhi and it was all good. Right now I'm confused whether to fill Delhi or Varanasi as preferred test centre. Please help.
