What bothers me is that people are simply accepting what the user has to say...in one or two lines the user claims to be new IIM passout and we believe it...nobody has asked him/her to prove his identity before making such strong claims These users are the one who put fake messages on .... and put an undersign of a scientist from NASA

I see a lot of hostility towards a college who apparently did give few students the opportunity to prove their worth. And I am in good agreement with the comments of @bad-ass in response to a comment below. First of all, it's nice to hear at least aspirants acknowledging the board/college issue if not B-schools. If have already become a victim of such thing before even starting my prep. And I too have had to deal with my own sets of struggles. With 74/80/7.4 (Up board/IIT). I may never make it to the best of b schools. About this interview thing, IITs never took interviews before inducting students into college and they are doing alright. And IIMs have always taken interviews but not all of them and not every student studying at these b schools have set the world alight. This narrative of 'i m more deserving because i can speak fluent English and know more synonyms' is pretty shallow in my opinion. That's why this stigma of 'more talk little substance' has always stayed with b school grads. I work as a process engineer in Life cycle management department in my company, and I have realised that just like every product, humans too exhibit their own life cycle curve. At the peak of your curve you tend to perform better. Some may have had their peaks back during their school days and others are peaking just now and few will peak 4 years after giving up cat preperation. Owing to the recency, the ones that are peaking now should (in theory atleast) be bringing more fruits to the b schools they are joining. By scoring 200 marks out of 300, the high percentilers have already demonstrate one kind of 'strategy', word often used in management parlance. That is more than enough to compensate for his/her shortcomings be it a minor stuttering while speaking infront of panelist. Yes, PI is an important criteria during selection process and you can sympathize with some one who scored 99.8 and didn't get the shortlist. But it's hard to feel for one who scored 99.4 and rants without any stops. I am not in any way trying to undermine anyone's achievements and I am sure as hell it takes a lot to score 99+. But we do know how far these scores are on absolute scale. Yes, the said college should have released the revised criteria earlier but I don't this it would have made any difference to ranters. Could they have come up with a novel method for selecting candidates? Of course they could have. But this is Indian beaureucractic system your are dealing with, which has always been and always will be like this in their ways of working. It's just my opinion and I am sure few will disagree but in current situation if they decided to induct students based on their cat score (probably one time exception), I don't think it can be termed as a terrible unjust with the ones who didn't get the chance. Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone, just speaking my mind. I am new and have come to like this forum. I m here to make friends not enemies. 😁
Bhai log, iit B walon ne 2.5 lakh ka bill pakda diya hai which needs to be paid within 4 days, if converted on 1st june. Isliye Abhi se hi is duvidha se mujti prapt karne ke liye...Which one to choose based on Knowledge earning potential, i.e., Quality of professors, Peer group, acceptance in Case study competitions (most important) and soft skill development opportunities ( please do not vote based on placement stats, knowledge aayegi to naukari to aa hi jayegi)
P.S. - if you could enlighten in comments on the importance of so called 'IIM' tag in long run, I'd be highly obliged.
