MBA students at top business schools like Wharton and Stanford have signed online petitions requesting that tuition fees are reduced as their learning experience and—they argue—the value of their MBA degree, has been impacted by coronavirus. In a letter to the school’s leadership, Wharton MBAs said:
We remain in prevalent agreement that virtual coursework, however well executed, does not provide the same educational value as the normal in-person classes that we expected when we enrolled.

See that's the problem. People making fun of IIM Rohtak as its doing something unethical despite being a relatively new IIM. In an ideal parallel universe, people wouldn't care if it's IIM Ahmedabad or Rohtak. A wrong is wrong irrespective of who does that. If you decide whether or not to condemn something, depending upon who has done it, you yourself are unethical. No one owes you anything. P.S. If you don't agree with me or what I have written, please feel free to ignore and move on with your lives.

Hey , So just to clarify What is the difference between the analyst roles offered to IISc Doms students and the analyst roles offered in undergraduate engineering colleges
For example : Goldman Sachs hires for the analyst from engineering colleges and also from IISc Doms .
So assuming that the package offered to IISc is higher than that of the undergraduate students ,
What is the difference is profiles ???

My previous posts on PG have garnered a lot of love from fellow PGians. I am forever grateful for the affection bestowed on me. Over the past 2 days people have been DMing and bombarding my chatbox with their queries wrt IIM ROHTAK. While I don't consider myself to be omniscient, but I know something about how this whole process goes since I have a degree from IIM C (1988) and with my flagship GDPI course I have mentored over a 1000+ students. Below is my take on the whole process. My good friend Director-emeritus had called me over the weekend. He discussed with me his strategy of making Rohtak one of the best institutions in India. I was left spellbound on hearing about his plans and how he was going to do so. I had 2 personal queries which I got clarified on behalf of aspirants in PG. First one was regarding the 2000/- for form filling. He said that while his institute has drawn a lot of flak for this situation, overall they are positive feedback. The people crying over the meagre 2k would have paid Rs 30k-50k for one admission form of foreign colleges. Hence, completely justified. Second one was regarding the situation of GEM candidates. He said that while he actually has a soft corner for GEMs, but the future is bleak for them. He wants people in the range of 99.9+ percentile in CAT to join his institute because they have good aptitude. In his opinion, a 99.9+ candidate would never apply to Rohtak, hence the chances of GEMs making it to his college are all but over. I gained some insights by speaking to him. I would be coming up with a second post to bring in more clarity. P.S.Interested candidates can join my GDPI course for 1% of median salary of the collges they have received calls from.
