A quick grammar question. Why do people put an apostrophe for plural form of nouns? For example many people write IIM's and not IIMs. What's the funda behind it?

Hi all, I am in great trouble, after seeing the Economy drop-down it's becoming very difficult to decide whether to go for an MBA this year or not. If I don't go for an MBA this year ,then I have several issue which I can see like: 1. I am not enjoying my job, I can't survive in this job for one more years. 2. I don't have that feeling that I can give that much efforts which I have given this year along with my job. 3. Even if I drop plan of an MBA this year and start prepration and give good efforts then also if by any chance I haven't perform well then my dream of MBA will definately going to over. But considering MBA this year, investing 20lac , I am putting myself at very high risk keeping whether I will get that much in return or not. Please can anyone help me. What are your views on this. It would be of great help if you provide your perspective on this situation. Thanks

I've heard that consulting firm shortlist students with 9/9/9 throughout.Is it true? I have 8/8/7 from state university.Does being from not so reputed college hinder the selection?can it be balanced by getting good marks in mba?
How best can I utilise coming 2-3 months to be better prepared for MBA. Are MOOC certificates worth it? at least for cv points in summer placement. Or should I start with basics of accounting and economics. Any other advise?

What is the price you would ascribe to an overall 99%ile in the CAT, if someone were to, say offer you a scheme where you have to legally agree to pay a certain amount of money only and only if you crack a 99%ile?
Oh and of course, I am talking of CAT coaching. Not someone who can get you a fake CAT scorecard.
