Can someone in this forum please help me know why people diss HR stream so much, even in places like XLRI? Is it because of poor career growth opportunities, the annoying HR people you have dealt with in office, or the perception of HR being seen as a feminine domain?

I can't believe ppl still watch and believe a certain YouTube MBA preparation channel who can get you to crack CAT/XAT/IIFT/SNAP in 10 days and can predict ' Mota Moti ' cutoffs of every exam.
My NM interview was largely based around business news. I could answer most of the questions and was very chill. I don't know if it would lead to a convert but quite satisfied. For anyone going ahead do read up on business news guys.

NM : CD - Plagiarism PI (Tandoori grill) - briefly describe yourself and why MBA? Told them my name, what I used to work as, and my inclination towards fin. Some questioning about my profile, had to explain twice. And then they said- just this? Then I added another aspect of my profile. What does a mutual fund manager do? Told them something about keeping track and choosing high performing stocks or else people wouldn't buy. Not convinced. Difference between debt and balanced mutual fund? Told them abt axis debt mutual fund and it's return but they asked me abt the diff, I told them one is just debt and other is equity, bonds and others. Idk if that's right. They asked about my gap year after 2017 and 2019? I told them about having been through the process thrice, and that this increased the opportunities I'd have as compared to my previous role. What would you do after MBA? I said i'd work as a fin analyst in a mutual fund company. Anything about Current affairs you know? I said budget. I told them about NIP, which will reduce employment. They asked how ? I said it will employ not only in the construction but also O & M, for however long that lasts. Also told about PM kusum which provides solar pumps to farmers and other benefits.
