In initial one minute, spoke about 40 seconds (didn't want them to cut me), started the gd, everybody else was too nervous to cut me, spoke about 2.30 minutes straight and exhausted all my points, made one more entry and gave the fillers about 3-4 points in which others agreed PI (I was 3rd of the first group) 3 panelists M1, M2, F ::Greeted:: F: please take you sheet and sign the attendance ::Did:: M1: tell me something about how environmental pollution will impact the world. Told from pollution tax, to business opportunities, tesla truck etc M1: I'm asking about implications! Told them about wildlife, depletion of non natural resources F: but aren't fossil fuels a natural resource? I apologized and said that i was talking about non renewable resources M1: tell me about it's social and economical consequences na? You are telling all these things that I'm not asking. ::Told him about the pollution in delhi and Lucknow and how it is affecting people, told them that we have to invest in clean energy resources for which we are not fully ready, we are on a right track though, told them about health problems because of pollution, and all in all it can take a significant part of gdp if we decide to face the challenges:: He didn't seem impressed M1: why not mtech? ::Told that i cannot see myself in technical position forever and I'm really interested in consulting roles:: M1: why iift? You can do that from anywhere ::Gave a generic answer:: M1: but why iift? But I had requested for date change at Mumbai itself which I got earlier. Link me however, Mumbai ke liye hi khul raha h. Koi problem nai hoga na?
I noticed that I avoid emotional labour, in other words putting in effort and staying emotionally engaged while studying. This has been my problem. I find it so much easier to watch TV shows, Youtube, Chess and PH instead of putting in real effort.
I'm starting a 0 to 100 preparation scale for CAP. For every hour I put in, I'd give myself one point. And I think if I reach ~70, I'll be well prepared.ย

What is cat cut off for iit delhi telecom for gem fresher?
So, Chapter 2 for me begins tomorrow with my first interview of the season. This has been one hell of a season with a lot of us being victimised by the cutoffs, shortlists, results and before all that, exams themselves. Such has been the season. I have been fortunate enough to find so many amigos and fellow survivors to make this experience tolerable. More than that. Enjoyable. Love over War any day of the week, if you ask me. The spirit here on PG has been nothing short of adorable and it's really, really heartwarming to notice people helping each other out. My cousin, 8 years elder than me, used to tell me- Your PG is something you never forget. I agree with her 100%. So all the best to everyone with the interviews. My DM is always open for y'all. Go ace 'em interviews. * - Btw, the PG she used to talk about was the paying guest accommodation she had in Delhi, not pagalguy. She met a guy there and I refer to him as brother-in-law these days. They are happily settled in Bangalore. Okay sorry. May the PG spirit live on forever!
