How is the MBA Program at BITS Pilani. Also, how much is the CAT cutoff for the same?

After 2-3 months of prep i could manage to score 90.77 in CAT’19 (could have scored more but messed up DILR and VARC). Keeping in mind that i have added pressure from my family to join the family business ASAP, should i go for a tier 2 college this year or should i prepare for another year? Gen/Non Engineer/Male Ps- comments are appreciated

Guys, anyone who studied their XII from Andhra Pradesh state board And got a call from iim L. Can you please share your composite score breakup and your 12th score. I just want to know what percentile I'll be in. Thanks in advance.
I always stood in the top 10 in my class right till 12th standard. I learned all the theory and even practicals by rote to get a 9.2 CGPA in 10th and 80+ percentage in 12th. I got a rank of 5.69 lakh in FEE mains. So I decided to take admission in BA as BSc. would have been too difficult. There I crammed all the history which is available at the click of a button on Google and got 75% marks. Then I started studying for VAT as I was jobless after graduation for obvious reasons. I got 49 percentile in my first attempt. Everyone said you can't do it but I didn't listen to all those haters. I crammed all the formule from this Sharma uncle’s RAT book. I knew so many formule that I could write my own book before MAT exam. I also took one mock but I could not even score a half century in it. I discussed my score with the coaching faculty and they said that the boys played well. I decided that mocks are overrated. On the exam day I could hardly solve anything. This BAT exam was just like the mocks. But to my surprise I got 69 percentile. I got calls from the top IIMs. Then I realised I don't have the reservation certificate required. So I had to go to the office which gives these certificates. There were such long queues and it was so hot out there. I had to go there almost every week for about a month. But finally, when I got the certificate, the sense of achievement that I felt was far more than the day I saw my XAT results.
Being a female non engineer trying to take admission in an IIM through reservation is not as easy as people say it is, everyone has their own struggle. Wish me luck for my interviews. Now I have to go and get my reservation certificate framed.

I can empathize with the GEMs who have sacrificed so much to clear CAT with high percentiles and have not got a single old IIM call.. I gave CAT in 2017 and decided to do an MBA just because i can earn a lot. But after 2 years of MBA it is pretty clear that i have made a grave mistake. Roles you get after an MBA are pretty random. Placements have high randomness component involved. I'm assuming that GEMs with 99+ in CAT wouldn't like to do a mundane job and believe me there's no guarantee that you wouldn't end up in one after an MBA from IIM. If money is what excites you to do MBA, better learn coding or analytics and get a job in such domains. In the long run job satisfaction matters more and you can get that without an MBA. Also research properly before joining any old IIM . They are all very different. Placements are different. I'm myself a 99 percentiler and an old IIM guy who have survived all these randomness. All i can say is don't feel dejected. Life doesn't end here. Keep exploring. Talk to the students in these colleges to know the reality of placements, etc. Don't get fooled by the placements reports.
