I have been researching about the options I have. So, now I have a few doubts about Raipur. It will be great if any one can help.
Placement Report:
Why has IIM Raipur not released a placement report for the batch of 2017-19?

This looks well and good but you have not mentioned the batch size and the number of offers made.
1. As per my conversation with current students of Raipur, they told me this is because a lot of students in this batch went unplaced and there were opt outs as well.
2. Why are all these details not being disclosed?
3. You just mentioned average, top 25% to 50% etc. but you did not mention the number of students, so makes me wonder if its true that all the students are not placed
4. Why is the report not being audited by an external agency? What is the credibility for your ‘placement highlights’ since there is no audit and most details are missing?
5. Give me one reasonable explanation why I should believe a college that did not release a proper placement report till the end of May.
College Administration:
1. Why has the placement committee debarred students for the entire year of placements during induction last year? Is it because they realized they can’t place all the students and this is a perfect excuse?
2. Why do students have to wear formals to classes everyday in a city like Raipur with tropical climate? How does that make any sense?
Now I just have one more question. I want to know the validity of this Quora post which claims Raipur ran out of funds after placing half the batch, which MBA college runs out of money for placements! (The link for this quora post: https://qr.ae/TW7WJc)

Hi, i got 78.58%ile in cat 2018 i have work ex of 9 months. I am in SC category, converted IIM BG, IIM SIRMAUR, waitlisted in IIM RAIPUR (SC 169) in latest anounced waitlist.
I am very confused wheather to take admission or go for cat19. Left my job so it would be my drop year.
What should i do?

I know this is a bit late guys. All the results are out. Some of you may have made your decisions. Some of you may still be consfused. And sorry to those who have inboxed me or asked my help in comment.s. I have been really busy with my internship and finally got a weekend free. Wanted to shed light on a few things.
Opened Pagalguy after a long time and seeing so many negative posts about New IIMs. I really need to clarify on a few things. I understand you are frustrated with admission process of some of the colleges Even when I joined admission process was messed up. But once you join you will realize that it is your peer group who build the quality of the college. Even some of the faculty members tbh are not that good but all that is secondary. Your batchmates and seniors will be India's most competitive people who were among the top 5% performers of a grilling 3 hour exam. This is what matters most. Both IIM Ranchi and IIM Rohtak have top guys as students. IIM Raipur does have 100% placements and have performed phenomenonly this year. IIM Trichy and Udaipur have always been class and continue being so. IIM Kashipur despite having locational disadvantage has proved that it is not far behind. If you join any of these 6 IIMs, you won't regret it.
If you plan on taking marketing, these institutes have already started attracting big names. For Finance - Only Indian Banks as of now and only 10% of the batch get desired roles. Need another 10-15 years. Better go with NMIMS if you converted. For Other (Consulting/General Mangement/Supply Chain) - Deloitte hires people with 2+work ex, GMR (takes 2+ years experience, supply chain and GM) good for those with experience. Hardly any management consultancy role in a big firm, mostly IT consultancy, usually freshers are not hired for these roles
Coming to Baby IIMs -> Jammu and Bodh Gaya have done comparatively better in placements. Sambalpur was doing well but placements weren't that good this year. Sirmaur too didn't do well in placements and very few big names came. Unless you want the IIM Brand, it would be better to go with other colleges like IMT, IMI, XIM B.
IITs -> IIT B is much better than all New IIMs, IIT D comparable to Ranchi, Trichy. IIT KGP compareable to other 4.

Guys need suggestion , I have converted NITIE,IIM Raipur, and waitlisted in IIM Trichy(WL 35 hopefully will convert in next lists) , The obvious choice is NITIE but the problem is I have inclination towards finance and there is little scope in NITIE , Should I join Trichy or go with NITIE and change my specilization to Ops or Nitie with finance which has huge location advantage and is rapidly growing in this domian, KINDLY PROVIDE INSIGHTS
