This is my 3rd attempt.
Waitlisted in nmims sibm nitie iitD mdi.
Waiting for CAP.
Till now converted IMI delhi core.
Want to pursue FINANCE.
And i don’t think i can go for another attempt.
Any comments would be welcome, as i am really not sure what to do.
Will i have any shot at finance roles oncampus or offcampus if i go with IMI?
- Join IMI as last resort and perform good there
- Cap or baby IIMs if selected(please mention below)
- Don’t join IMI even as last resort,prepare for another year.

Guys I have a pretty average profile 10/12/grad 88/89/79 GEM with 36 months of work ex. Till now I have converted IIMK and MDI PGPM. Considering the fact that IIMK BATCH Size is greater than 500 and I have an average profile, don't you think it would be better to go for MDI rather than IIMK ?
I am having 95/94/83 profile and work ex of 20 months in consulting. Already not working for about a year.
Converted NITIE AND SJMSOM. What should I do ? I am interested in consulting/strategy.

Some biases that are manifested on Pagalguy/Other cat forums even if it results in a wrong opinion and because most people that vote in polls haven't really researched much. On its face, these biases appear to be correct but people give it too much weight and disregard other factors. 1. IIM > Non-IIM (no matter if the non IIM is better in other regards) 2. Core > Specific ( no matter if the person who is asking the query is clear on his stream preferences) 3) Short term ROI FTW!! 4)Old Cliched Perception > Actual Reality Today 5)Bschool, in which a person is waitlisted in <<<< IBS Hyderabad (Sorry IBS) Rarely see people discussing companies, profiles, rigour, overall development, competitions, exposure and other things that matter too.

Had an insanely good time preparing with you all and looking forward to sharing the journey in our respective B schools. Really happy to see everyone here cause everyone had a shaky start in april-may 2018, followed by a lot of ups and downs where there were times we felt that we will not make it and also the times where we faced our first rejection but always had each others backs to move on and nail the next PI. In the end it was all worth it.
