I am doing this for the second time. With 85.06 percentile I am stuck between some okaish colleges. I have converted MDI Murshidabad (PGPM) and IMT Hyderabad PGDM (Marketing). I am waiting for the results of KJ Somaiya, GIM, Great Lakes, XIMB Rural and FORE. I will go for NIBM interview. But suppose I do not convert other calls (principle of conservatism) I'm left with MDI M and IMT H. In that very scenario which among the two colleges shall I go for.

Given a choice what will you choose among IIFT and IIMK ?
I wonder why everyone takes advice from people here. Majority of them haven't been a part of MBA but still do not refrain from giving their expert opinions. MBA isn't as gruelling or sickening as the people here make it look. In fact, after the first year, all of you would get sick of the college and would want to return back to jobs. I was very active here until last year and if there's one advice I'd like to give, it's please don't listen to the "self-proclaimed experts" here. Once you sit for the placement process and see your name not being shortlisted for 10-15 companies, you'd give up all your ego and settle for whatever role that comes your way. So do your own research and stop relying on these people. Do not go to quora or other forums either. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR A GOOD COLLEGE TO INFLATE ITS NUMBERS. Whatever you see is just a smart representation of their data, which isn't fake. So go by the official placement reports and see where the college stands. If you are a fresher, you cannot expect a package equal to the average package of the college. That package is mostly for laterals, not for freshers. I also believed that these placement reports were fake, but to be honest, they aren't.
