CAT 94.96 12th/10th - 95.2%/10 CGPA Commerce background I received calls from NMIMS, SIBM and IIM-S. I was expecting calls from New IIMs too but didn't get any. Can't understand why?

Apart from the difference in starting salaries of Institutions like KLIS, SJSOM, MDI, NITIE and SIBM/NM/IITD, what else is the difference between these two groups of institutions. I have not mentioned ABC as I feel it's way beyond my league. If I consider an pay of 17LPA from both these group of colleges, what else would be the difference in during the 2 years of MBA and in life after MBA. I have this doubt as I belong to second category of Institutions and if we assume a same outgoing package for a candidate, then what difference remains between these 2 groups of Institutions. Your inputs will help me to decide if it's wise to go for a reattempt or not. Kindly share your views without being sar"caustic". I had only 2 calls - CAP, MDI Gurgaon. (DSE, DFS calls awaited)
WAT, GD, PI went pretty decent, but as they say you can never be sure.
At any rate the results will be declared in a month or two.
I am not looking to take CAT again. I am open to international MIM programmes.
What can I do now, please advice. I am very serious about doing an MBA from one of the better institutes.
