i am really confused right now regarding my chances in sibm, i am expecting to score around 80-81 in snap, further i've got 80% in 10th 87% in 12th 64% in graduation in ECONOMICS(HONS) from DU. WITH SOME CERTIFICATES IN INTER COLLEGE COMP. NO WORK EX.
WHAT DO U THINK MY CHANCES OF GETTING CALL 4M SIBM ARE???

Hi, As a student appearing for SNAP or any other test it is your duty to attempt as many questions in all sections as possible. We at SIBM have only made transparent our way of selection of students, its a bit unfair to blame SIBM for this.

Hi Mr X, I do doubt the genuinity of the claim of sectional cutoffs by the reason that SIBM cannot be so much unprofessional to share such thing in a small forum which will give UNDUE advantage to few as it will possibly open the legal options for the rest of the guyz. so as the cut offs for both the campuses will be same this time does that mean tht the placement process for both the campuses be together?it shldnt be tht sibm pune students get better placement offers than sibm blore students right?

Im really sorry if im repeating a query, but I have a few tings on my mind
Grondmaster, firstly i read your post about Pune and Bangalore. Now, if i give my preference as both, and my score is good enough to put me into Bangalore and Pune, do i get a choice of campus then? Or am i just put in any one of the lists.
Secondly, the Bangalore campus being a new one, will the faculty be new faculty, or will it be some of the old faculty from the pune campus.
Thirdly, about the management quota, can i apply to the general and management quota both? Or is it this way that if i apply for management quota, i dont have an option for general quota. Also is there any difference education and placement wise between management quota and general quota students? Do the recruiting companies know which students are in the management seats, and do the management quota students get a chance to sit in the full round of placements.
Last, I got a call last year also, and we were promised the new SIBM campus, but i guess due to some problems, it was not offered last year. Is it being used from this year.
Thats a lot of queries and a few long ones, but some invaluable help from yopu would really make this easy for me. Thnx in advance.

Hi sir, i dont know whether this query has been already posted. please do reply The forms for SIBM are sold out in Chennai. I contacted all the TIME/CL/IMS offices but its not available anywhere. :sad: 10 days to go for last date..still the forms are sold out...:wow::wow:!!!..when i asked them if it will come again they are not committing anything...What should i do?.Can I apply online?.please do help..
The SNAP test results will be out on 7 Jan 2008. For SIBM, the last date of submission of form is 5 Jan 2008.
My question to you is, isnt it logical to have the last date of form submission to be after the results are announced? As SNAP test marks is one of the most important factors that will decide whether the student gets a call from SIBM or not, is it fair to expect the aspirants to apply even before knowing their SNAP marks???:
Respected Sir, This year i have Given SNAP Test.I have also purchased SIBM Prospectus.But i didn't recieved any preference sheet nor i knew to mark it seperately.But i am keenly interested to get admission in "new Banglore Campus" & want to mark it As 1st Preference.I have also sent the form on 19th Dec. for Pune without marking any preference.Kindly suggest me what to do or please solve my problem.
Dear Prof Do people in the Open Category have to provide a copy of the SNAP registration form along with the application form for SIBM. The language in the prospectus is a bit confusing Plz reply.
In the application form under Employment Experience its written "Mention details starting from present employment backwards";I am a bit confused what does that mean.Since currently where I am working is my second organization, so that should come first or my previous organization experience should come first? Please advice.

I purchased the SIBM brochure a couple of days back. The brochure says that the weightage given to written test score is 30, acads - 10 and work experience -10. Whereas group discussion and group task make up for 50 points whereas interview again has 50 points. My querry is that whether the candidates would be shortlisted for GD/PI on basis of only written score(30 points) or based on written score + acads + work exp (50 points). Sorry if the querry has already been answered in the previous posts.
Sir, here iam with the same ol' question: what are my chancez So here goes: my expected snap score: around 70+, sectionals: quant: 18.75 english: 23+ reasoning: 19+ GK: 7.75 10th: 82 12th: 91.3 BE in Electronics: 74.5 working for tcs n work ex till date, say dec is 14 months. Got several appreciation letters at work. winner of couple o' business, general quizzes.debates, elocutions etc.. organiser of maths n literary clubs at college level. Student representative of my class in the placement council. Active participation in organizational activities n stuff. Regular at a few games but no college level or district level types to boast of Consistently ranked first throught school n winner of couple o debates, drama competitions. hmm.. so please do hav a luk. ps: how many seats does sibm hav for my batch n how many calls are gonna be given out?
