Has GMAT become more difficult after the new format changes? Since now it is easier to attempt sections according to our comfort zones?
Is IMS better than Manya Princeton Review for GMAT preparation and guidance?
Is there more focus on verbal abilities and reasoning than quants in GMAT? If so will they test for grammar or our vocabulary abilities?
Hello,
I have certain questions regarding my career prospects after 1 year MBA program. Would be greatly appreciated if you could answer.
My Profile:
X: 86
XII: 77
B.Tech: 7.6 CG (NIT)
Work-Ex: 30+ Months as on date in a government orgainsation (PSU type but different) in managerial role for tendering process.
Now, I am considering appearing for GMAT after a year or so. However, from what I have gathered from various opinions, it is said that 1 year MBA is useful only if you want career growth within your industry and not if you want to switch industries altogether. However, my prime aim behind going for MBA is switching over to Private sector (Preferably Consulting) from government sector. Is it wise for me to consider 1 year program from institutes like ISB or should I go for the traditional 2 year programs only?
I have 79 percentile in Class X , 66 percentile in XII and 70 percentile in Btech . Can anyone suggest me what colleges I would normally get for one year MBA if I score arround 650 or 680 . experience is 6 plus in IT.

Hello, I'm in third year BE, and my course has an integrated internship program of 2 semesters. I also started my own business last year which includes commodity trading, product manufacturing and import. I would like to apply for MBA after completion of my degree (2019). My areas of interest are logistics and supply chain and operations. Could anyone suggest and advise me further ? Whether I can apply abroad through GMAT/India or would it require work experience? Also, pro's & cons on studying abroad.

I have this doubt that is it mandatory to have a work experience in the field of interest in which you want to do MBA from global BSchool? Like I am from engineering background so I will get jobs only related to technical side. No one will give a job in management side with good profile. So If I want to do MBA in Finance so will having a technical job create problem to me in getting admissions in BSchool or even further jobs?

Hello
I'm a 30 year old Chartered Accountant with a 7.5 year work ex (2 years big4, rest with an MNC). My domain is international tax and transfer pricing.
I'm preparing for GMAT this year. I just want to understand the colleges I can target in India for an exec 1 year course. I understand ISB is one and most IIMs would have an age/ work ex criteria. Is the batch average age at IIMs PGPX closer to 30, or is it more?
I'm currently drawing about 23 lpa. The idea is to expand career opportunities and target future CFO roles (currently it is skewed towards direct tax only). Will an MBA help achieve that target? I'm also studying financial accounting courses parallely but don't have a direct accounting work experience.
Hi I am planning to MBA in 2019 . Will GRE suufice or i have to focus only on GMAT? Also I worked 1.5 years in a MNC after that i joined my family business . Will this create any hindrance? Any leads would be highly appreciated
