I scheduled the GMAT but did not d/l the admit card that time.i have not got admit card on email.where should i d/l admit card from?Exam is scheduled and money is deducted.:(
Hi Everyone, In 10th i got 84.6% (2009), 12th i got 70.8%(2011) and this year i completed my graduation with 66%, but couldn't take part in my college placement session due to some serious medical issue and so couldn't be placed on any company. I am planning to take CAT exam in year 2016. So, IS it necessary to have work experience to get a good MBA college or it all depends on CAT score ?

Hi All, Wish you a very happy Diwali
I am quite confused about what to go for on basis of the challenges I have and want to know the
eligibility
of my selection on basis of my profile :
Education :
10th Std : 72.86 %
Diploma in Electronics & Comm : 69 %
BE in Electronics & Comm : 68%
Exp : 3.7 yrs in IT | MNC medium sized company in Pune
– 2.4 Yrs | Indian medium sized company, Pune
– 1.3 yrs(Till date) | MNC medium sized company, Pune
Designation : Senior Software Engineer | Java Technology
Package : 10 Lacs/Annum
Future aspiration : Want to go into management domain (through GMAT or any other if you can suggest on basis of constraints)
Constraints :
1) Can manage without income only for round about a year and not more than that due to some personal reasons.
2) Overseas mba doesn’t seems a better option as it requires a lot of investment(excluding bank loan) plus has 2 year programs.
3) Can only pursue 1yr mba in those bschools which has records of providing placements/job offers more then atleast 15 Lacs/Annum. (If it has, I am confident I will crack one for me but getting a offer of lesser income than my current one will not be considered a wise decision to pursue mba)
4) I have a very average educational and professional profile, havn’t got any such remarkable award yet. Those things do reduces my chances for selection in best 1 year mba colleges. (Till now : state level winner and runner up in paper presentation in college, has worked side by side with my eduction, nominated for Extra Performance Award in my current company)
Queries :
1) I am looking for 1 year executive mba, Is there any indian/overseas bschools that I can go for considering the constraints I have.
2) Any other programme than 1 year executive mba I can go for considering the constraints.
I am not worried of working even 16 hours a day or feared of getting high scores. I just want to get a correct way for me as my one wrong decision and investment of money+time could impact number of lives and not just me.
I am aware that there’s no guarantee of ROI here but I can atleast try to minimize the risk I am taking.
I am very very grateful to the members of pagalguy putting their efforts and time in giving the best guidance to me. Thanks in advance.
Searching for some little hope the convince me that I can pursue further studies in management with the challenges I have.
Regards,
Shrey

Hi, I am planning to apply for MIS course in US universities in fall 2017. As you can see, I have a bit of time in my hand. Can you please give me suggestions as to what I can do to enhance my profile? Also, I have planned to give GMAT for MIS. Is that the correct option or I should be giving GRE and not GMAT?
P.S. By September 2016, I will have 3 years of experience in IT.
So I am about to start preparing for GMAT/CAT 2016. What's the similarity between these standardized tests as well the difference in the difficulty level ? From what I can make out, preparing for CAT's quant should sufficiently prepare me for GMAT's quant whilst I ll have to study the verbal for GMAT and CAT separately , how correct is this hypothesis ?
P.S - At the risk of humble bragging, gave a few diagnostic tests for GMAT and CAT. For GMAT, I got a score of about 650, did sufficiently well in the quant section but struggled a bit in the verbal. However, I got a 91%ile in a mock CAT exam, but did worse in the quant section compared to the verbal.
Hi,
Took GMAT today - 740(Q-49, V-44, IR-8)
My Profile :
10th CBSE: 90%,
12th(science) : 66%

MA (Economics) : CGPA - 6.9/10 (ranked 2nd in university)
Other achievements -
Scholarship in BA and MA
Member of students council, placement cell, etc
Few extracurriculars in undergrad
District level table tennis player in school
Lanuguages - Hindi, english and german
workex - 4.5 years as an economist
What are my chances of getting through ISB? Which other programs should I try for?
Thanks,
Rahul
