Just a query, how much different is GMAT Verbal & CAT Verbal and GMAT Quant & CAT Quant.
Can preparation of GMAT Verbal also take care of CAT Verbal and also can preparation of CAT Quant also take care of GMAT Quant.
Also can the preparation of GMAT & CAT be done together.

Hey folks, this is Kshitij, I have 4 years of experience currently, spread over a start-up and a mid-level e-commerce company into the field of strategy and business development. I'm currently working in the capacity of a category manager.
I'm a graduate in Mathematics from HansRaj College, DU (2011 batch) with 72% marks. Plus, my score in 12th and 10th are 93% and 91% respectively.
I'm interested in doing MBA from a good B school, preferably US/Australia/Singapore/India.
The question here is:
What will be the right time for MBA (should I gain more exp to make my profile stronger or I'm competitive enough currently)? Haven't appeared for GMAT yet, though I'm preparing for it. Should appear somewhere in September/October.
Secondly, what score and colleges should I aim for mostly?
Thirdly, I'm still confused whether I should still consider CAT as an option or leave it out of the discussion now?

I have not one,but two objectives
1. Go for General Management .Get a job for 6-7 years and repay the loan.
Earn some money and start my own line of business.
2.Entrepreneurship- Have recently started a small Fly Ash Brick Producing Industry along with a partner and currently employ 15 people. Wish to expand the business and then explore further industries.
I actually am working in a Bank right now to gain some insight into how the financials of an industry work.
Kindly suggest some good US MBA colleges which rank top 15 globally. Are colleges like Yale,Wharton, Columbia,Hass or Tuck achievable. Being an Indian would I be able to get into Harvard or Stanford with 730 marks?
Since the application fees for each college is very high (appx INR 20000) I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with college selection.

- They ask for industry/field as career after degree......how can one decide on his interest before studying it??
- How much min exp is required for 1 year Executive MBA for top schools ?...I got 3 yrs in Financial service and 1 year in Mfg
- How 1 year Executive MBA different from Full time MBA?(in terms of placements , exposure etc?
by the time i write gmat ill have one year work experiance.will that and good academic backround suffice for admission in to any good college under gmat.?also what are my options for doing mba abroad?

I am currently preparing for CAT but as I'll be having 3+work ex by the time of admission in B School next year so doing executive MBA could also be beneficial. But I am having a doubt that is preparing for CAT equivalent to preparing for GMAT?? and what are the available test series and the best time for giving the GMAT.
