Hi ,

I am planning to start GMAT preparation from Mumbai.

Counld anyone tell which coaching is better : TIME ,IMS ,IFMS ,KIC  in mumbai??

Plz Help

I need serious advice..will be writing GMAT by MAY end...targeting 700+ score..have 5.6 yrs exp in BFSI Domain (at Various positions like ..Branch Head, collection & credit manager with A NBFC shriram transport finance company Ltd & later With HDFC bank) at presently working with a Collection agency (as a partner and part-time agency manager for last 10 months) but not on payroll so no salary slip...

My real concern is my academics,it's real bad..

10th-66%,12th-68%(Both State board),Btech-6.97 Cgpa(a year gap between , coz of attendance lack).

i know for sure that i am little late to start for preparing MBA,i always wanted to do MBA but couldn't do it(a long story)..

How good are my chances for One Year MBA(Full time) with Indian Premier institutes like IIMs and ISB given i will score 700+..i am little bit concerned about My academics..

Hi, I am planning to Take the GMAT exam in May, 2015. I have a question about work experience. I had done my Engineering graduation in 2010. I got an on campus offer from L&T, which I accepted and joined the company as a GET. They had a two years bond with me against a sum of Two Lakh Rupees. Due to some medical reasons I could not complete the tenure as a GET. Hence they did not gave me any release letter, though I have the last salary slip which cleary indicates the date on which I left the company. This slip was accepted by the other companies in which companies I have worked but will it be accepted by the B Schools like ISB as my experience certificate, because otherwise I won't be able to show a years experience. Currently I am working in an MNC is a lead design consulting engineer. I have 3 years of experience if I can count the L&T experience. Otherwise I have 2 years to show.

My Grades in my previous exams are:

1) 10th - 82%

2) 12th - 72%

3) B.Tech - 8.49/10 (CGPA)

4) M.Tech - 79.5%

I would also like to know that with my current credentials how much do I have a chance in ISB and what GMAT score will be good enough for me.

Thanks.

Hey this is Vishal & am running a service based start-up Fedobe.com

Started in Jan 2010 but completed my B.tech in Jun 2011 so i guess Work Exp will be counted from 2011 ?

I am targeting for ISB & have no knowledge with CAT or GMAT. All this time i was only focused with my business which is quite profitable but suddenly realised my growth would be limited at certain time. Exploring in corporate companies will give me exposure for which MBA is actually needed. I am Good with Quant but my Verbal & Reasoning are very weak, is there a chance to get good score by studying online for 3 months with 30 hrs a week ? If yes what should be the strategy & suggest me specific books or online materials to focus.

I am asking so much as some one said me English is a language & you don't learn in short time. And i am weak with those essay & sentence type questions. Need some serious advice to begin. Thank You !

I am facing the GMAT on the coming 19th. Just took my first mock for this week (the official practice test 1) and I'm very disappointed (and worried). 😞

I scored a 640. My quant performance in this test, although not great, is better than what it used to be (it's the only section I worked on for like 20 days since it was my weakness), but my verbal score is surprisingly dismal at around 31. It's a personal strength (scored 99%ile in CAT Verbal with no prep nor practice) so I didn't spend any time preparing it. I realized I had gone wrong in this section when I was left with 15 mins of extra time in the end.

I really want to score 710+. Any tips, or suggestions on areas to work on, or test-taking advice? Worried if 7 days can bring the difference I desperately need.

Hi,

I appeared for GMAT on 11th and scored 650. I look forward for suggestion whether I should apply for SP jain or try for IIM C, L, B or ISB. I have 7+ years of experience in Auto Sector. I am a pass out from BIT Mesra (Mec 2007 Batch). I have 3 years of foreign experience in auto sector.

Look froward to some suggestions.

hello consultants., here goes my profile 10-94, 12-92 and engg-90.8., I have got into my first mba in Symbi Pune after working couple of years with IBM India., I am with an idea of doing a one year MBA in ISB or IIM-A or some of the gud b schools across the world that fit within a budget (say 30-40 lakhs)., Now my question is , what would be the ideal time to start preparing for GMAT, my plan is to work for couple more years in a field that i am taking in my first MBA (Marketing) and then go for a single year MBA from top colleges at international arena as that may give a good edge to my profile ., So is this a good plan in place ? How does this work ? any suggestions please....

How Canada is good for pursuing mba? What is the avearge cost of living(including fees, living costs)? What are opportunities post mba?

Which is the best classroom coaching centre for the GMAT in Kolkata?

I have shortlisted Jamboree, Princeton Review, TIME and ROADS.

hello all..my academics r 10-85%,12-90.6%,btech-80%. currently I'm a working guy with 1 year experience(Training) in Port Operation department. I want to do mba from a reputed college. Did try for CAT last year but scores r very bad, from that I think that IIM's r not for me.Some advice to go for SNAP, NMIMS, GMAT, said that they r pretty easier than CAT. Is it really true? R these colleges really give me good platform & environment for mba?

Secondly, I want some prep guidance for GMAT.Some say go for Manhattan books to prepare, r these books r really gud? or there r some other good materials on GMAT? When and how many times in a year one can apply for GMAT?

Hi.. What will be the best time of the year to write the GMAT exam for 2016 admit?

I saw few posts and noticed that lot of people r talking about giving the exam around June/July. In my case I wont be fully prepared by that time, as for June/July there are only 2-3 months left. Right now, I am preparing for CAT (optimistic of doing well as I missed by slight margin last year) and it is only by October that I will be able to complete my preparations. Since, the syllabus of CAT and GMAT is more or less the same I may be fully prepared to write GMAT only after October.

So, wanted to know if that will be too late for admission to Universities in 2016??

PS: Acads: 10th- 87 , 12th- 85 and grads- 9.4 (on 10), work-ex- (1.5 yrs currently)

Would appreciate any more suggestions. Thnx in advance.. 😃

Hi ... I need help regarding B-School selection based on scholarships offered by them or their ROI as seen through their track record.

I have around 2.5 years work exp at the moment, am still preparing for GMAT and getting my profile ready. Iam aiming for Fall '16 / Fall '17

Hi,

In 2014 I got 94.38 percentile in CAT, but I am not joining IMT G Finance/ IMI Delhi (B &Fs) because I am not much interested in Finance and also considering the ROI. I am still awaiting the results of IIT Kanpur, IIT KGP MHRM and IIM Ranchi.

I am planning to take GMAT this year within 2 months:

My profile:

X: 75%, XII: 80.57% and BE 74.05% (Production Engineering)

Work Experience: till date 46 months (2 years in Operations and 2 years in SAP PP module)

Current Salary: 7.2 LPA

My preferences for specialization in MBA is: 1. HR, 2. Operations.

Kindly prescribe some international B-schools keeping in my preference  and my profile and considering a GMAT score between 680-750, where I can take full/maximum scholarship based admission.

Kindly reply.....
