Hi consultants,

I have a GMAT score of 710 92 percentile (2014) and undergrad CGPA of 7.89/10 i have close to 20 months of working experience in IT filed..
I am planning to do MBA in Americas, i want to pursue MBA in general management.. based on my profile what would and should be target schools? also what are my chances with the Ivy leagues?

Hi

I want to give my GMAT this year arounf June end, Kindly help me to shortlist B-schools in India and abroad, which accept the GMAT Score.One of them being ISB.

I have done my graduation from NIT Kurukshetra,CGPA-9.01 and I have a work experience of 33 months (2 yr,9 months) in the field of Energy sector.

P.S.- I would prefer schools that have a tution fee within 20-30 lakhs only.

Plan to give GMAT in July, but while registering in MBA.COM....we have to convert graduation percentage to GPA...and the formula given in their website does not seem to be fair....would like your advice in what needs to be done....read this question in various forums but not found a satisfactory answer....some have stated some third party websites like WES for conversion...others have stated to keep the same...would like to know what needs to done.....

is the under grad % really a concern and how much marks is required in GMAT to get into top B School.

Hi, I am BE Electrical from Thapar University, Patiala with close to 3 years work experience in Quality Assurance with a Consumer Durable firm in Gurgaon. My profile is as follows:

1. X - 93.8%
2. XII - 92.2%
3. CGPA - 8.37 on 10 point scale
4. GMAT - 710 (Q49,V36,IR 6, AWA- Awaited)

Which top B schools can I target? Both in India as well as abroad? Would want to take admission in 2015. Looking for a specialization in Operations in FMCG Industry preferably.

Hello, I am going to complete my B.com graduation this may. I got offers from Scope (Standard Chartered), RBS and EY(Ernst&Young;). But i am confused which job to take or just pursue MBA right away after college. So please help!!!

Hi Folks!!

I am planning to give GMAT in 1st week of August with a target score of 750.. My profile is as follows:


Xth : 82%

XII: 84%

Grad: 8.1/10 B. Tech in Elec. & Comm. from NIT Hamirpur.

Work Ex.: 5 years [Production and Designing domains] in a Defense Electronics PSU. Working in a PSU comes with some inherited drawbacks such as there is no appreciation/recognition in form of certificates, or out-of-turn promotion for your consistent good work, NO community work opportunities(CSR). I do not have anything in form of certificates to make my work ex. look better and more authentic even after getting a A/A+ rating consistently for past 5 yrs.


ECs: volunteered for 1-2 committees for organizing cultural fest [but i don't have relevant certificates to prove that]. NO community service. Nothing in sports in school or college. All in All There is nothing as of now in my profile that i would qualify as a quality EC experience.

Please evaluate my profile amd suggest how to improve wherever possible as i want to apply only to top Global B-Schools.


One thing that I can improve in my profile is my EC. If say Now I start participating in community work[NGO], learning a foreign language, taking some courses on coursera, etc. would that be a good decision? plz help..

PS: I accept that Participating in Community work just to improve my B school Application does sound lame and pathetic, but i desperately want to do damage control on my ECs. :(
