dude i was dere 2.. and i totally agree with what u r saying.... i was sitting in the very 1st of my row.. and i had 2 got up atleast 6-7 tyms when persons sitting left to me were getting out...we were all tight packed badly.. there were 2 guys sitting 2 places left to me continuously discussing and my pc went off twice coz there were some loose connections... towards the end there was a guy who was protesting against so much noisy and haphazard environment but ironically he was creating the same he was protesting against... neways i wud not blame dem 4 my dismay performance after all it doesn matter 2 dem as much it matters 2 me.. so i wud hav 2 improvise on dat...

in my QA paper there were some graphical problems in 3 questions... 1 in the mod inequality question in which there was an "unknown symbol" used for comparison 2x-4 " 4 like dis.... and in 1 inequality question x^2 + y^2 + z^2/(xy +yz+zx) in the options against this symbol was used... in 1 more question i faced similar problem,,, was dere ne1 who had dis particular problem?? or did i misunderstood the question??
had to leave an lr and an rc set,,as for those questions,i dntnthink they will be counted and the marks scaled
Wrote the AIMCAT today! As usual, I was able to keep my accuracy good. Though I felt quant was on the easier side, I couldn't use it to my advantage. Got stuck in few questions which ate a lot of time and hence, had to leave a DI set. Quant is my plus point and I have to nail it, otherwise I am screwed.
Verbal was tougher but I managed to do well in LR. Overall, satisfied with the performance after a disastrous 1317 but an improvement in performance from here is very essential.
@pratskool did you gave it in the hare street centre?? i too gave it today, had a slot from 3.15 pm but reached there by 2.30 pm so i got seated by 2.40 pm only. the seats are all packed together. some people were discussion the paper and creating a lot of noise. i was lucky enough to get a full sheet and the person seating next to me gave an extra paper from his copy. but after sometime they said we dn't have anymore sheet and told us to use pencil :@ those who came after me were given just a half size paper ..
and that inequality prob i faced the same situation. there was a symbol like " in two problems. i thought to confirm it from those seated next to me but then restrained myself think that this may happen in actual cat also and i solved it. was getting the ans as 7/2.

I gave the test today and did not face a problem in that question.
The ques was as far as I remember 2x-5 and |4y-7|and the maximum value of |x| - y was asked and I got the answer as 7.
@sivan iim good for you man. i solved it by taking equal sign.. shouldn't have attempted it. it was easy one so fell into the trap. i m sure that ques must have went wrong.. hope time people would do something to it. same was the case with another problem. if such things happen in actual cat what should i do??
@aimiimabc in that problem i think we had to find the last digit of 3^(1001) + 1 , 3^(1001) - 1 both and find the LCM. cycle of 3 is 3 9 7 1. so it should be lcm of (3+1) and (3-1) i.e 4. was there an option 4?? i didn't get time to attempt that ques.
@proffessamit my bad such an easy problem and couldn't attempt it. the ranking di was also easy but we had to find the individual rankings in each month which were given as cumulative and that would have taken sometime since there were 5 rankings.after that all ques were easily solvable. i thought to come to later but that time never came.. need to work on my speed man !!! 😞
@chayan ... well I got screwed up totally in this aimcat. Quant - 38 & Verbal - 26... I have no say to Section-1... where in I spent 5-6 mins in 3 questions and ended up nowhere to the options (bcuz of silly mistakes).
gearing up for 1315... need to improve on speed and ofcourse, presence of mind.
Gave AIMCAT 1316 today after a full sleepless night and a headache in the morning but I guess, I was lucky today.
Here are my Scores and Splitups. Was suggested to Gamble once with the whole paper attempting all the questions in Verbal and I tried the same in Section I also. Section I : 30A 25C 5W = 70 Section II: 30A 24C 6W = 66
Overall : 60A 49C 11W = 136

yea... there was... solved with the same method...
Method I: 3^2003 -1 and 3^2003 + 1 will be 2 consecutive even numbers. Now, we have to find the LCM here. As they are 2 consecutive even numbers, hence one 2 is common there. If you take that out, we will be left with 2 consecutive numbers and any two consecutive numbers are always coprime. => It should be 4.
Method 2: : Now, 3^2003 => Here the power 2003 gives 3 as remainder with 4
Let us take 3^3+1 and 3^3- 1 => 28 and 26 lCM of 28 and 26 => Taking the 2 common => 14 and 13 14 and 13 are coprimes. => LCm = 14*13*2 => Last Digit = 4
