It is my pleasure to introduce Jaypee Business School-JBS, Noida Official Admission query thread for PG users. This thread will be useful to get information on the b-school's application process, admission criteria, important dates, course structure, pedagogy, differentiating factors, developmental tools in the program etc and to network with fellow applicants.

JBS is a constituent of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. JBS offers a 2-year Master in Business Administration (MBA) which aims at providing a comprehensive coverage incorporating all the important areas and disciplines in management and inculcates a professional approach to business amongst the potential managers.

ADMISSION : 2 YEAR MBA PROGRAM (BATCH 2012-14)
Eligibility
Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a statutory university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates graduating by 30 June 2012, can also apply but must prove their eligibility latest by September 30, 2012. Those not producing the eligibility certificates as per the date mentioned will be disqualified / de-registered irrespective of their having joined the program provisionally.

Selection Process
Applicants seeking admission are required to have completed the CAT /MAT / GMAT for the current session. The score must be valid upto February 2012 or later.
Short-listed applicants (on the basis of relative merit in received applications) will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Submission of application does not qualify the candidate for GD/PI and no refund of application fee is permissible on any account.
The final selection will be based on the Test Score, language proficiency, work experience and performance in the GD & PI.

How to Apply
Obtain the application form from JIIT in person or by sending the application fee of Rs. 1200/- or apply online at www.getadmissions.com or on the link provided on the right pane of this page. Those applying online must carefully read the instructions regarding submission of the hard copy of the application. The completed application forms must be submitted along with a photocopy of CAT/MAT and GMAT Score card and graduation mark sheet (if already qualified) and other documents as mentioned in the application.


Important Dates

Last date for submission of completed JBS application form :
  1. 1st Round 31.01.2012: For those who have appeared in CAT '11 or December MAT '11 or with earlier MAT. Scores must be valid upto Feb 2012 or later.
  2. 2nd Round 28.02.2012: Additional batch may be considered (if required) for those who have missed the earlier opportunity or those who may appear in February MAT '12 exam. Scores must be valid upto Feb 2012 or later.The details shall be loaded on the website subsequently.

Tentative dates of GD and PI :
  1. 1st Round: Second week of February
  2. 2nd Round forAdditional Batch (if required): Middle of March

Availability of Application and Brochure
  1. The Brochure may be downloaded now.
  2. The Application form and Brochure shall be available for sale in the Institute by 15 December 2011. Sample application may be seen at right pane.
  3. The online facility for application shall be uploaded on 15 December 2011(There shall be a discount of Rs 100 for applying online)

what is the mat and cat cut off this year for jbs?

there is no cut off as such ,selection is based on GD/PI.you must have current MAT/CAT score card i.e.The score must be valid upto February 2012 or later.

MAT MAY 2011 99.79 percentile. (valid upto may 2012)
Am i eligible to apply?
Also, i dont have the final documents related to my B.Tech and i wont get it befor Jan 31st. What should i do?

First of all congrats for scoring such a good percentile in Mat.
Ya ur elegible to apply as JBS accept both Mat as well as Cat score. I think u don't get any B school like JBS in NCR region. If u compare the fees of other college then they all r charging much more than JBS and providing the same placement. So return over investment is much better in JBS as compared to any other colleges of NCR.
If ur facing the document related problem then Don't worry u have to deposit ur document at the time of Admission only.

As far as highest package is concerned its 6lack
The major recruiter are: Caital IQ, Grail Research, India Can, India Infrastructure,Hcl Infosystem, Hcl Technologies etc and Many more yet to come.
As far as placement is concerned its on the ability of students. College can only bring the companies in the campus. If u have capabilities then u can easily fetch the Job.:)

Finance stream of JBS is extremely outstanding out of all the specialization. This year Firstly students of finance gets placed. If i talk about faculty then most of them are from corporate world having experience of 15-20 yrs.
