 Bcom Admission in Christ University : 

The BCom programme provides a strong foundation level understanding of the functioning of business organizations, commercial transactions and various specialized operations such as accounting, finance, marketing and human resource by offering a comprehensive curriculum.

The three year BCom degree programme is divided into six semesters and is designed as per the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) model curriculum prescribed by UGC. It includes core papers,discipline specific electives, generic electives and skill enhancement courses. Discipline specific electives offered in the fifth and the sixth semesters are in the following streams: Human Resource & Marketing Management, Banking & Insurance and Accounting & Finance. Students are required to undertake a micro project during the final semester.

Students are also required to complete two inter-disciplinary open elective courses in diverse disciplines [Humanities / Sciences] during the first two years of the BCom programme after regular class hours. Successful completion of two such courses is mandatory for obtaining the BCom degree. Each open elective course will enable students to earn two extra credits

ELIGIBILITY:
Pass in class 12 (10+2) is the minimum eligibility for applying / admission.

Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:

Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.

Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels grade not less than C.

SELECTION PROCESS
1) Selection for the programme will be based on the performance in class XII of the academic year. After processing the Application forms of candidates whose supporting documents are submitted to the office within 3 days of the declaration of the class XII result (Karnataka PUC/ISC/CBSE), the cut off percentage will be declared and displayed on the University notice board/University website. No postal/telephonic/e-mail communication will be given from the University. Other Boards whose results may be declared after the above mentioned Boards will be considered subject to availability of seats. The University does not authorize any individual or organization to operate on its behalf.

Admission Process 2020:

Candidates will be intimated about the selection status through application status page on the University website CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. The merit cut off will be declared on the 4th day after the declaration of class 12 results (Karnataka PUC/CBSE/ISC). Other Boards whose results may be declared after the above mentioned Boards will be considered subject to availability of seats.

Note: Candidates must note that if selected, admission is provisional and subject to University rules.

As per UGC guidelines, fee payment has to be made through online mode. Payment options and details will be provided to selected candidates through ‘Offer of Admission’ on ‘Application status’ on the University website. Fees for first year including Admission Registration fee must be paid in full as part of the admission process.

Admission will not be processed without the presence of the candidate and the mandatory ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS and one set of photocopies mentioned below;

1. Class 10 Marks Statement (Mandatory).

2. Class 12 Marks Statement (Internet printout) (Mandatory).

3. Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last qualified institution (Mandatory).

4. Migration Certificate of Class XII (applicable for all candidates except Karnataka State Board) (Mandatory).

5. One Stamp size and One passport size photograph formal dress with white background (Mandatory).

6. Two Copies of the Online Payment Receipt (Mandatory).

7. Copy of valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / Aadhar Enrolment Receipt).

8. Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:
 a] Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).
 b] PIO / OCI have to produce the copy of PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable (Mandatory).
 c] Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any recognized medical practitioner certified by the Medical Council of India and
 d] Resident Permit (RP) (If available while applying)

Many companies come for placements to Christ as of the UG degree of B.Com. The average package is of 4 LPA, and when the big 4 companies like KPMG, Delloite, Ernst, and young Dshaw the package is of around 4-8 LPA. As of placements, there are 100% placements in the college
