We have tried to answer a couple of frequently asked questions below:

1. What is the procedure for application to the MMS program for 2016-18?

Ans: This year application has to be done through CAP round under DTE. The application form can be accessed on DTE website at the below link -
http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/MBA2016/StaticPages/HomePage.aspx?did=839

2. What is the admission procedure?

Ans: Admission for Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai for two years Masters in Management Studies (MMS) programme will be done through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra. For details visit Directorate of Technical Education website www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in

Feel free to get all your doubts clarified.

Regards,

JBIMS

what will be the weightage given to acads and wrk ex ???

So only CET results will be considered? Or something for CAT applicants as well?

So no special applications this time, :)

What is the number of seats and distribution of the same? If someone from the JBIMS admissions' team can solve this query it would be very helpful to the students!

When was the dte notification out last year?

I thought autonomy makes you progressive! Even CAT is evolving to be like GMAT and here they are, treating an MBA institute admission process like a nursery class admission process! #ShameJB

Can someone please explain how exactly does the CAP process work?

So JBIMS won't accept CAT score this year?

Admission for Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai for two years Masters in Management Studies (MMS) programme will be done through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra.

What is meant by this ? Can someone explain ?

@sawant.prasad : Please give your thoughts on the CAP process. What does the notification mean? How many seats were there last to last year when JBIMS was under CAP process?

so is the cap round all about CET scores or the other factors such as past academic record, work experience etc.... is also considered in the cap round???

so wat as last years cet cut off in general category in terms of total marks for home university students?

Total seats in JBIMS -120

Maharashtra Seats - 102

All India Seats - 18

This is how the process works.

Everyone appears for CET and gets a percentile. This is the initial percentile. And not the merit percentile through which you will be awarded seats.

For Maharashtra candidates -

Depending on their CET score, a Maharashtra merit list is put out during the CAP rounds.

The Maharashtra seats are awarded on the basis of Maharashtra merit list.

They will also be included in the All India merit list if they submit their scores of the All India exams.

For All India candidates -

The highest percentile among all their exams is taken and an All India merit list is prepared.

The All India seats are awarded on the basis of All India merit list and can include Maharashtrians as well.

Hope there is clarity now! Cheers.

@sp240292 @sawant.prasad

I have 99.93%ile in CMAT (AIR: 40)

Is there any chance of being selected under the All India Merit List?

P.S: I am from Maharashtra State. Will it cause any problem while applying through CMAT?

Marks required in CET out of 200 for sure call from JBIMS..??

Hi I am an OMS candidate. Can i appear for mhcet ? If yes, then how many seats will be open for me in jbims if i apply through mhcet score only for jbims?

Now that JBIMS is accepting CET scores, Please suggest the best test series for CET!
