No institute is going to "guarantee" 100% placements! Placements are dependent on job market conditions also. The institute will try everything possible to get everyone placed (irrespective of salary packages, profile etc.) but then in the end they're not placements agencies. They're also like mutual funds - subject to market risks & conditions!!
coz according to older IIMs,your acads are not for the taking i guess and you belong to Herculean category,i.e.GEMF(General Engineer Male Fresher):IIM A-less OA(may be sec-I ruined)IIM C-cut off 99.65IIM B-due to acads IIM I-due to acadsIIM L-less OAIIM K-grad percentageIIM S-acads(grad percentage)P.S: go through selection criteria of all IIMs or go to respective threads of older IIMs in PG itself and compare your profile with the call getters
A small correction. For IIM-K, grad percentage above 65% are all same ie. you get 15/15 marks.

Not that I think you need any more answers from me! But just a word of caution from my side. Its not recommended to go by XYZ ranking, as you don't know what criteria they have, what parameters they consider and what methodology they use for ranking. But then yes, if you find something consistent across multiple rankings then yes you can be more or less sure.

exactly, just like ajaygovind said, the idea is took look for atleast 5 or more rankings and then see the best cumulative rank. although I would ask you to make sure that the ranking should be done by people who know their job well like business/economics newspapers, business magazines or may be people who are professional raters etc.

Sorry buddy, not much idea about any of those institutes! I've heard BIMTECH & Christ are decent. And UPES Dehradun is good if you're interested in a sectoral MBA i.e. Petroleum & Energy.
