@supreetkini Let me ask you a very honest question. Are you really interested in doing your MBA this year only and is it a compulsion ?
Now, don't take me other wise, but then going by what you've scored in XAT, I guess there's only 3 b schools which really looks good to me for a guy having more than 18 months of work-ex - GIM, Tapmi and Great Lakes.
Look you've decent academics but then the BE percentage could play a devil for you not only now but also during the placement season. So, getting into a good B school should be your 1st priority so that it could negate your BE score to some extent. I would suggest you to try for these colleges only. I'm sure you would convert atleast one of them but god forbid if you can't, It would be better to try for the next year's CAT/XAT.

@supreetkini None that I could think of. See, my only point is you are working in an IT company for 18 months and you must be earning reasonably good. Why give your career just for the sake of doing MBA. Gone are the days when only having an MBA degree was good enough to get you a good job. Now, the fight is becoming extremely intense. The pie(in terms of job) has not increased substantially at the same rate as the seats in Bschools has increased. So, the last thing anyone would want to happen is to spend a substantially good 10 lakh and get a salary of 5 lakhs. I'm in no way demeaning the worth of b schools but then you've to be realistic here and I'm not talking about ROI also but then something else.
So, I would still not suggest you to look for any other b school apart from 3 mentioned by me. Had you been a fresher, my answer would have been different. But with 18 months of work-ex which would be more than 2 years by the time you join a bschool - mate, you seriously need to think a lot before taking any risk.

@Arpitgs Sorry to disappoint you but then I was always very bad in predicting the chances of anyone for a GD/PI call. I would still help you if there's a problem related to applying to a B school or preparing for GD/PI but then this predicting chances is one tough job for me.

@Arpitgs I guess IIMs conduct their interview process before mid-feb. Some of the colleges like MDI, SP JAIN and others used to conduct that earlier in mid feb but then now a days all their processes are usually done in the month of March. Actually 90% of the good Bschool's processes happen in the month of March only.
