It is expected to be somewhat like this only for the 13-15 batch as well.. !!

Hi I had a query regarding my friend. She is from Calcutta University, probably the stingiest university in terms of marks in India (seriously the number of people getting first class here in english can be couted in one hand). So she is a brilliant student but got 59.4 there. After which she entered the post graduation of JU where she is doing great (around 70+). However the failings of the education system here is the fact that she her PG wont get her a decent job. So she has decided to look for an MBA next year. So will her marks in under grad hold her down ?

@rishg Ideally looking at your profile. I would suggest you to target the colleges which are strong in Finance as your background reflects the same, like IIM A, B, C, SP Jain, FMS, MDI but your current CAT score is not sufficient to fetch calls from these institutions. If MBA is not a compulsion this year, please try again. Otherwise, you may apply to TAPMI, KJSOM-IB, IISWBM, NIRMA, LBSIM, NIRMA, BIM-Trichy.

May be, some of institutions like IIT-M,FMS require 60% in grad. most of Newer IIMs also ask for 60% in graduation.
However her score may be normalized in institutes like IIM B,IIM K etc.
So let her prepare for Written exam .

You may apply to IFMR Chennai if you want to pursue finance.
further you may apply to K J Som(IB), SPM Gandhinagar (General MBA and MBA in energy/Infra)...

You may apply to IIT M as it is open for Non Engineers.
