No one is beggar unless one decides to be! 😃 Hard work will never let you down !!
Also, MBA is not just about getting into a college, its about building a career and just because of some reasons, you get into a college meant for niche domains but without much interest in those domains, you will have to suffer throughout! So, it's always better to suffer in short run to have a happier and successful run in long term! 😃
In addition, dont go by websites that claim average to be 8+, quite a few have had much lower than 8 which is quoted on their websites. That's why apply only to limited colleges and dont be in haste while accepting the offer.
3. CAT is a test of nerves. You can get anything from 90 to 99.99 on the D-Day. So have a positive attitude and give your best. Keep practising. All the Best.

Getting 92-95%ile in AIMCATS...Can anyone tell me which colleges should I go for??? Also can anyone give me a list of top 45 colleges which have cutoffs between 90-98%ile??
I think the average wages that @avinashkrjhahas mentioned are a little on the higher side (at least for HR they definitely are). But that usually is the case with most of the B-Schools these days and I don't blame him for that.
In case of IMI, let me tag along a few esteemed alumnus who will be more than happy to help you here. @abhimukh19 and @curtz-imi
Please check this link I have given firm wise CTCs
I think average shown is fine .. rest i agree with Baba_pencho on the EMI and Standard of Living Cost etc but those colleges which claim 11 , 12 , 13 should know that IIM A is itself averaging around 13+ .. and those which claim 6,7 are in the red zone ;)
So who knows whats the exact placement figure for which college? how would you believe them?

You need to analyse your Mock Performance thoroughly and extensively.
Identify those questions where you go wrong frequently. Work on them. I am sure you will improve.
And then CAT is just like a T20. Anything can happen. So don't get bogged down with what happened last year or in mocks. Put in your best efforts and give your best on D-Day. ATB.. !!

1. Decent academic record
2. Aimcat Scores are good. Try to maintain it or even further enhance it. You can def expect to score anything above 97%ile.
3. Apply to all colleges with Cut Off %ile of more than 90.
4. For cut off's, Refer ---> http://www.pagalguy.com/forums/cat-and-related-bschools/2012-which-b-schools-should-you-apply-t-83927/p-3594168/r-3607915
