Just 2 cents from my side:
In addition to posting scores, we can also post the way we approached sections, the hurdles that we crossed, the pitholes that we avoided, and the wrong turns that we took during the test. This will act as a learning lesson for all others, and our experience will help everyone grow.
My test experience:
Started with RC directly, First two RCs were easy, as no description/scientific terms/numbers to be memorized. Then realized that two of the three following RCs were long (last two), Switched to VA: Attempted all at a stretch. This time they gave a new modificationi in VA with words that would fit in more than one sentences and one needs to fill in the most number of such sentences possible with every word. anyways, 20 min remain. Came back to RC: worked with longer ones, complete one of them (Globalization), left with one long and a smaller one. Results:
RC:24/18/16/46
VA:10/10/6/18
Now comes DILR. Not as easy as the last one. Started with LR. I always take time in puzzles and hence leave DI (Anybody reading : please help if you can). Worked on everything. Took time on sequencing set (8.00 pm, 8.30 pm one). The set with A to O sitting in circle with marbles was a long one, and should have been avoided. Left the last set (Don't remember the puzzle).
Came to DI in a haste, didn't attempt much. I just know that the one with mileage and speed graphs was a cakewalk. Attempted those. Results:
LR:16/11/9/26
DI:16/6/5/14
Next came the quant section, my last hope to maximize the score. The easiest section of the whole paper (pretty evident from people scoring almost full). I hurried through the questions. Some were so simple that sitter was an understatement. Most of them were doable. All in all, it was a test of speed this time. Could not attempt 29% of this section (Percentages ! I know right ;)). Finally ended up with this:
QA:34/24/21/62
Total Score : 46+18+26+14+62 = 168
This is obviously not a paper analysis but just an example of how high scorers can describe their approach of solving paper, which can prove beneficial and even inspiring to some of us mere mortals.
Thanks for your precious time! Cheers ! :)
Although this is my second serious shot after 2014, I've never posted my scores on these threads ever before simply because they weren't worth it. Used to score as low as 50-60 in the previous season. Started with 80-90 in this season, which too stooped to as low as 66 in between. But didn't give up hope and continued to analyse my mistakes and loopholes in concepts. Eventually I got couple of 100+ scores and now finally in AIMCAT 1709

etc, etc 😄

Very surprising score since the highest I could do before this was 139 in 1710. I guess the paper was easier. Also, this was the first time I actually analysed the past 2-3 mocks and found out where I was weak. Turns out, 4-5 questions were generally wrong due to lack of attention to detail. Also, I had been solving all odd man out questions as para jumble before 1710 :P
Carefully analyze guys, makes a huge difference, because half the times you have the ability to get the answer but understand the question wrong or rush through and make a mistake.
